This is what it is.

I wouldn't have allowed Yair to fight Zabit myself, even if my life depended on it and throw myself into a burning building, if I had any shred of association with Yair.

The guy is a prospect and coming off a pretty long lay off, and it was totally understanding not wanting to fight like a Zabit, though some people think he's a hype job at this point, I don't even think Yair have a remotely any chance whatsoever in that fight. If Yair was to win that fight, personally, I would put that up on the scale of upset alongside of Sojokoudou over Arona/Lil Nog.

Personally, I am not a fan of fighters cherry picking their fights. But, it looks like it has been happening forever, and UFC didn't look like they were doing anything about it, and it just looks like they are making an example out of a prospect that they looked like they were trying to build to get into foreign market, but it looks like they are really taking a stance on this one.

I have no problem whatsoever with Yair not wanting to fight Zabit at this point in his career. I would think it's literally unwinnable fight for him.

On the other hand, there are lots of cowards out there who talks all the shit in the world but doesn't sign up to fight, like Bisping for one, talking all that shite about Romero, but talking about fighting Diaz or Rockhold himself. I don't think it's fair at all that UFC is coming down so hard on a young prospect like this for being more cautious after taking a beat down and coming off a long layoff afterwards.

Your attitude is precisely the problem that caused all this. Yair is a grown man. He's been training marital arts and mixed martial arts for as long as Zabit has. If he can't beat another "prospect", he obviously isn't deserving of this much respect

Lil Nog and Arona were consolidated, highly ranked fighters. Zabit is still, like Yair, a prospect, although a very highly regarded one. Ranks wise, the distance isn't nearly as large.

I do agree that Zabit seems like a horrendous match up for him, and with those who think that Yair is a hype job.

Has Helwani corroborated this story?

welp too bad, he's a nobody and a can that was supposed to take a dive against bj and instead murders him then gets his dose of karma against frankie and sat out for over a year after

bye felicia

Fuck Yair, I really wanted to see that fight. As much as people think Zabit runs through him I'm not quite so sure. It is his own fault though, both are prospects and it's not like Yair has bargaining power to pick and choose who he wants.

dumb for ufc to now let bellator sign it next champion. funny how he didn't make this move with conor or nate

I mean at work if my boss offers me two contract opportunities after taking a year off and I pass on both of them. what do you think will happen.

Turning down fights is bitch made shit. If you aren't renegotiating a contract you fuck up whoever stands in your way.
