Media Dana implies Jon scared of Ngannou, should drop to 185 lbs, and Jones wants $30mil

After Ngannou became champion, Jones claimed he needed a year to move up to Heavyweight (which resulted in nothing more than him getting pudgy):

When it was clear that Ngannou was going to leave the company and not re-sign due to how restrictive the UFC contracts are (and how Dana treated Ngannou in the leadup to the Gane fight), suddenly there weren't anymore contract issues on Jones' end.

And I already did a financial breakdown as to how and why Jones was pricing himself out to duck Ngannou.

See above.

Nearly a year and a half after the UFC and Francis Ngannou agreed to part ways with Ngannou as the reigning heavyweight champion, neither side has changed their tune. UFC president Dana White is once again voicing his stance that Ngannou chose to leave the promotion to avoid a fight with Jon Jones, rather than Ngannou's repeated claims that he left the promotion to pursue more control over his career.

Speaking with Shannon Sharpe on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast, White referenced the ease with which Jones dispatched Ciryl Gane to win the heavyweight championship after Ngannou's departure as proof that Ngannou was running from the toughest challenge available.

"In my opinion, he does the same thing to Francis," White said. "100 percent. He does the same thing to Francis. Francis didn't want to fight Jon Jones. Jon Jones is the scariest, most bad-ass fighter of all time. Jon Jones has his issues outside of the Octagon, which actually makes it more impressive if you think about the lifestyle that he was living, and doing this to the best fighters in the world."

After Ngannou became champion, Jones suddenly needed a year to bulk up (i.e. get fat) and as SOON as it was clear that Ngannou wasn't re-signing with the UFC all of Jones' contract demands to fight at Heavyweight conveniently disappeared.

Jones had 3 years to move up, but decided to duck instead.

No revisionist history needed, yet POS after POS hides that Jon is still the same duck.

wheres the part that nganou declined the fight
coward away when jones enterd the HW division?

We all knew the Gane fight was the last on Francis' contract and he wasn't re-signing if he wasn't allowed to box as well in his contract. Jon could have made a call and got that fight but he didn't so he missed the boat and we didn't get the fight. Pity.

It's Schrodinger's duck. Both Francis and Jon ducked each other, yet neither did.

Its way more logical that Jon would be scared of Ngannou than vice versa. Jon was from a lower weight class, is the bigger name and has more to lose considering he had never officially lost before and certainly never had his head taken off in the first round. Also Jon, as great as he is, has never been a particularly intimidating fighter. He isnt a big hitter or anything like that. Ngannou is a scary dude and probably the biggest puncher in MMA history, facing him carries a very real possibility of getting brutally KTFO fast.

The official SherScienceTM pass/fail i.q. test is any thread where people claim weight classes don't matter, fighter A is ducking fighter B.

This is one of those times Dana was lying. Jon Jones isn't scared of anyone bud. He the Genghis Khan of hand to hand combat.
Dana is always lying. Anyone who wants a bigger contract it's his go-to strategy to talk to the media and say they don't want the fight. He's also lying about Ngannou now that he's no longer in the promotion.

He sure was scared and crying when the cops arrested him in that video.

He was offered the fight as part of a 3 fight deal, he had a call with the UFC on Jan 10th, 2023 where they offered the deal and the Jones fight for UFC 285 on March 4th 2023. Jones at this point already renegotiated the terms of his 8 fight deal and was slated for UFC 285. Francis declined the deal, the UFC went with Jones vs Gane.

So there is the part where Francis declined the fight.

Jon agreed to the fight after he renegotiated new terms of his existing deal. He was slated for UFC 285, the UFC reached out to Francis to make the fight as part of a 3 fight deal and Francis declined.

I remember thinking I was going crazy when Dana started shit talking Fran cis while clearly remember he saying Jones should move to 185 and not fight Francis {<jordan}
