If Dana believed in his product, which is letting fighters from all different styles facing one another and see who comes out the best, he wouldn't have to interfere.

Dana doesn't want to see who are the best fighters, he only wants to see fighters fight a certain way. The whole point of an MMA championship is to see truly who is the best, regardless of fighting style.
