Since the GSP vs Hendricks post fight comments from GSP, I've thought that he is pissed/disapointed at the UFC for not backing the VADA testing and that this whole time off thing is his way to make a point.

Had Dana simply mandated VADA testing for the rematch I believe GSP would have taken it right away.

Nah, this may be part of it, but GSP is being honest when he says he's got some shit to take care of

I don't think Dana would do this for any fight. Wouldn't want to risk anyone getting popped.

Dana doesn't really want him back. He's stoked that the WW division won't be held up by a scared, safe, boring champ anymore. Now he has a marquee division that people won't be hating on the title matches anymore.

I believe GSP knows he is now past his prime, and that his legacy is at stake. With he beating he took by Hendricks sealed the deal. He saw the writing o the wall, and he knows its btter to quit while ahead. Also, I am sure wachig Silva get totally dominated and embarrassed by Weidman reaffirmed what he already knew was eminent.

yeah losing his biggest PPV draw is something he couldn't wait for

He knows there are 3 or 4 potential champions that would be 10 times the PPV draw. GSP was a draw in Canada because he's Canadian and because of his image, not his fighting. Now he has the chance to get a Champ who people like the fighter as well as the person. Huge opportunity.

Yeah, all GSP's buys are from Canada. I mean Canada is so big and has that huge population.

Sorry guy, but there is more to it than your style when it comes to people paying for PPV.

Not like GSP was the biggest PPV draw on a consistent basis. Only one that was bigger was brock. And a few other one off fights.

I believe the VADA/WADA issue was certainly part of the pressure and stress of the whole last training camp and made GSP want to walk away even more. He most certainly didn't feel that Zuffa had his back.

Lol, data please!
