If he ever fought when Ali fought, he wouldn't even be top 5. Foreman and Frazier alone would have decimated him. Especially foreman. Ali in his prime, would have made tyson look like a child. Sonny listen would have killed tyson. You people really should watch some older fights.
Where, in the entirety of my post, did you come to the assumption that I know nothing of the 70's era fighters or was in any way comparing Tyson to the 70's era fighters?
As for your points - nostalgic hogwash. First off, I'm likely older than you, have seen all of the big fights from then, including all involving Ernie Shavers, Larry Holmes and Ken Norton, and am not biased towards Tyson, in fact I dislike him, if you read my other post in this thread.
To make blanket statements like you've made is the epitome of a green fight watcher, or participant. To say any of them whips any of them easily is stupid, as they mostly all had close fights and rematches that went the other way. Styles make fights, and Tyson is very similar in his approach as Joe Frazier. The differences being that Tyson was faster and more powerful due to the speed, and that Frazier had a lot more heart and cardio. I would have favored Big George against any, including a rematch with Ali, however to poohpooh another person who thinks Tyson would be competitive with them (which I in no way even alluded to in any hypothetical way) is ignorant and pompous.
Now, on to my actual post - Tyson was absolutely built for massive double legs and bodylock throws as a follow up to his hooks and uppercuts. Ditto Frazier, if you wanna bring hypotheticals into my only point - that Tyson could have BEEN A FORCE IN MMA IF HE HAD HIS HEAD SCREWED ON STRAIGHT/if there was money in it when he wasn't old, yet. Ali would have had to really work on his sprawl to go along with his footwork....
Why am I doing this? I am simply shocked what you got out of my first post. I agree, the 70's era was deeper than Tyson's short era when he was at the top.
