Most of the time casinos don't give a shit about card counting because most people are fukin terrible at it. Its the very few that are actually good at it that they care about.
 
Video also shows Lorenzo talking about meeting Jon Jones manager and saying they have to convince him why fighting Gus is the right move. Lorenzo meets with Jones manager and says can we get a deal done, his manager says I hope so.

Sure as hell sounds like Jones is trying to duck Gus, probably with the excuse I beat him and he didnt have to beat anyone good to get another shot at me. If Jones ducks Gus I dont see how anyone can be a fan of his.
 
Don't understand it at all.
As long as the casino is the favourite long term, they shouldn't care about the variance of people winning big sometimes, as long as they have enough money.

But you're playing at lowly $5 tables. They don't care if a sherkid takes home $30.

You're not playing at the big tables and/or walking out with $50K like Dana was.

Trust me when I say, they don't ban people from winning too much. It's same as the myth for regular people that management change dealers when the table is losing to slow the tempo.

For high rollers, most of them don't even cash out the ALL winnings. That only happens in Hollywood film that make everyone that watch it dumb.

There is ALSO no ban for losing too much, UNLESS requested in advance by the player. But it can easily be lifted by themselves. Usually 24hrs limit different.

Trust me, I dealed upwards of 750k, table limit even for VIP, per hand before. :)

Are people really this stupid? There is no way to win consistently unless you have found some extraneous way to gain an edge, e.g., card counting in black jack or identifying markings on the cards as in Phil Ivey's baccarat situation.

So, unless Dana is counting cards (which would require substantially ranging bets and giving the casino a clear signal that something is amiss), the story is B.S.

Most American casinos do this. They even use continuous shuffling machines on occasion.

Serious card counters target single deck or double deck games and/or games where there is significant "penetration" (i.e., the divider card is placed deep into the shoe so that the maximum number of cards in the shoe are ultimately dealt).

i think the UFC wants Jon to fight Gus in Sweden and that is why they are pushing back a little.

If i was Jon....I would want a huge pay raise to fight Gus in Sweden.

interesting, they will not let you do that over here. if you try to place the divider card to close to the back of the deck they will stop you and dealer will place the card around 3/4 deck.

but saying that i'm talking about $10-20 tables, not big money tables.
