Dan Henderson is much older than Fedor and had more mileage, more fights, damage when he KO’d him

Fedor had One submission loss, was many years younger, and had many less fights than Hendo.

How can anyone say that Dan fought a washed up or old Fedor?

Dan was the old guy in that fight!

    The more shopworn veteran.

Do you know who said Fedor didn't look himself in his previous fights?

    Dan.

Whenever a fighter losses his fans will say he's out of his prime, a perfect example would be 29yo Aldo getting starched by a much better striker in Conor McGregor

Fedor also competed in Combat Sambo so that's many other matches you aren't counting and he clearly was not training seriously, you could see that just by looking at him. He always carried a little pudge but you could see he was in really good shape. By the time he was fighting in Strikeforce he looked like he was out of shape.

Fedor was a waaaay better fighter than Henderson in his prime. He should have been 30-0 at heavyweight but had that bs loss from a cut caused by an elbow which was illegal in Japan. He’s right there in the goat conversation with gsp khabib and Jones. Where’s Henderson?

Finding god and coming out with that orthodox monk was his downfall.

Hendo is a great fighter but was TRT’d to the gills.

Great fight with two legends regardless of everyone’s hot take.

Everyone is going to say TRT but Hendo also got better over time while Fedor peaked in PRIDE.

Neither were in their prime but regardless they are two of the greatest fighters ever and Hendo can KO anyone on any given night.

    War Fedor and Hendo.

    Diaz subbing McGregor
    Poirier beating McGregor twice

That fight was an roller coaster as a Hendo fan. I went from “oh no” to “oh fucking yes” in a split second when Hendo hit that switch.

Here we go with this debate again…

There is nothing saying that an older fighter can’t beat a younger fighter. If that were the case, I’d be very rich from betting. The point is that Hendo had a much better chance of beating Fedor at that time, due to Fedor‘s decline.

Something I don’t see talked about a lot in regards to this fight, is the Bigfoot fight which preceded it. Fedor took a massive amount of damage in that fight. These days, a fighter who took that much damage in a fight probably wouldn’t be back in the cage that year. We had Sherdoggers concerned that Kattar is returning too soon, and he’s been out a year. Fedor was back in the cage a mere 5 months after the Bigfoot fight, and surprise, surprise—his chin didn’t hold up. Fedor actually fought 2 more times after that, which is insane. He fought 4 times in 2011.

Fedor had more mileage on him, he competed in MMA and Sambo at the same time. Hendo was also on steroids.
