In USA Wrestling the magazine they did an article about Dan Henderson and how he was able to capture the Pride Middleweight and Light-Heavyweight Belt. They mostly talked about him and MMA, although understandably also talked about his wrestling credentials. However, they quoted him saying something I'm beginning to find more and more believable. Now please don't kill me worshippers of Fedor, but he's quoted as saying he had a fight with Fedor and won, and after that Pride asked him to fight Wanderlei.

Now do you believe that Dan fought and beat Fedor, the fighter whom most consider to be the number 1 heavyweight in the world, and possibly even the number 1 p4p fighter? Do you think he was talking out of his ass? Normally I'd say the latter, but Dan is quite good at wrestling AND Fedor did have to resort to holding onto the ropes against Lindland. Think its possible Dan accomplished this? Normally I wouldn't give it a thought, except Fedor hasn't fought in a while (top competition) and he seems like a honest, respectable, overall good guy. Think he'd bullshit this?

I'd ask when he actually faught Fedor and why it wasn't televised?

since when has trolling moved into the grappling forum ?

That wasn't disclosed in the article. He clearly stated that he fought and beat him however. Maybe they trained together and he beat him during sparring/grappling/striking/whatever? Just some ideas.

Didn't mean to troll, just wondering if anybody had more info on this, and if anybody thinks it feasible.

You know what Fedor sounds a lot like? Vitor. Especially to guys who think Fedor is pronounced FEE-DOOR.

I like Henderson but I think he's full of shit because there's no way I see him beating Fedor

I'm confused, are you saying Fedor has given us his best showings and going on the downslide? Or are you just pointing out a random fact to what Fedor sounds like?:)

I'm pointing out that he beat Vitor and then Pride gave him a shot at Wanderlei, and that whoever wrote that article needs to do a little research before they say things that are obviously wrong because of simple misunderstandings about how names are pronounced and who is who...

Idk, not that I don't think Fedor is the best heavyweight in the world, but I don't swing from his nutsack. I think Dan could POSSIBLY beat him, but I'm not so sure as to if he would fight him, or if he did fight and win what the rules were.

BTW, where in Illinois do you live? I live just outside Chicago.

I think that's it because the article states that after he beat "Fedor", Pride gave him a shot at Wanderlei. Thanks for clearing up the confusion the thread can now be closed:rolleyes: Sorry if this was common knowledge I didn't think it was.

Like I said I think the writer confused Vitor with Fedor, because it perfectly describes Vitor except for the little fact that they replaced his name with "Fedor". Lol. On another note I do think Fedor is beatable and that Pride's heavyweight, while better pverall than the UFC's, weren't as godlike as some people tried to make them seem. Fedor, Nog, Barnett, and Cop were good. Fedor beating Cop and Nog doesn't prove he's the best ever, seeing as Randleman and Gonzaga both beat Cro-cop at his own game, and Nog lost to Fedor and Barnett. These guys are def. the top of the food chain, but how high up can we put them without them even fighting guys in the UFC. Cop's record is 1-1 in the UFC and Nog has yet to debut (hope he does good and fights Couture in grappling war in which Couture eaks out a GnP decision and retires:icon_chee ). Anyways what do you guys think?

Ok so in summary, the writer of the article was retarded?

The end.

I don't swing from Fedor's nutsack or anybody else's. I like both fighters but I just don't think Henderson or anybody else in MMA can beat Fedor right now.

I live in Kewanee,IL (about 40-50 miles northwest of Peoria)

TS sounds logical even during a time when anything remotely suggestive of anyone upsetting Fedor was ridiculued

LOL! I also made a post about Matt Hughes cutting to 155lbs. I got a lot of flack for both this topic and Matt Hughes being able to make 155lbs (I think he could, still can, but never will). I'm normally right with most of my picks.

A four year old thread back from the dead for that response? Really?
