That would be one of the first "modern" episodes. The show changed a bit around season 3. Not long after, Steve was gone. The cast never accepted Ted McGinley, Jefferson, and you can tell. Even with that, he was still a good replacement.Lol I believe that was the episode where they made the burgers out of Marcys relatives ashes by accident wasnt it?

Go back and watch the Christmas episode where at the end of the first part, Santa comes crashing down into the back yard. Look at Ed's face when he turns back around after looking, he was fighting off a laugh sooooo hard lol.. He was still smiling, but trying to hold it. So good.
Yes lol I own the complete series just finished it again a month back or so...And now I get new Roseanne, love it these two series have always been my favorite

The Office, which ran from 2005-13, wouldn't even air today. Which would be a crime because it's the GOAT sitcom and has delivered immeasurable enjoyment to millions of people
lol that middle one was gold. I used to watch that in college a little bit. is it really that good ?
Archie Bunker trumps them all.
Well, good ol bugs bunny might have given him a run.

Yep, apparently we used to put all sorts of racist shit on television. One thing that does bother me though is that we also applied that to classic literature. When I went to school we had required reading and that doesn't much exist anymore growing up because the N word is used in things like Huckleberry Finn. I think its a real travesty to apply the social justice sort of rule set on literature.
The Office is one of favorites all time ever but I disagree that it wouldn’t air today. I have never even heard the argument that it was an offensive show. Some people just don’t like it or say they don’t like it as much as the UK version but I’ve never heard that the show crossed the line of decency for them.
