Whatever Obama can do with EO is fairly inconsequential. Other than Feinstein how much ban chatter is coming out of Congress? Most talk is there just isn't enough votes.
What really gets me is that most of the people proposing new legislation seem to have very little knowledge of or first hand experience with firearms. There can't be an honest, productive discussion on firearms if there are fundamental misunderstandings of what they are and how they're used. These decisions shouldn't be made in the immediate aftermath of a national tragedy because the discussion will inevitably be clouded by reactionary emotionalism. Let's all take a deep breath, slow things down, and take a look at the underlying issues. Legislation is easy, addressing the real reasons behind gun violence is hard.
I did not watch it, but from the 23 EO's that I read...it is all fluff and/or publicity stunt. Nothing stuck out to me as a precursor to an AWB. Still, I wish they could concentrate on the national debt and economy.
He's basically doing the bare minimum. Enough to give off the look that he's genuinely concerned about the issue when in fact he's just passing it on like he always does.
This is my problem as well. It seems like they're basing their facts about guns on what they see in action movies. The average person wants gun control because they don't think anyone should own "automatic weapons or guns that hold 100 rounds" or they think gun stores don't require background checks.
It isn't even really the bare minimum. It's a sell job like you see in the WWE really to make it seem like he is doing something.
So nothing is gonna change really. The AWB has a slim to none chance of getting through Congress so that doesn't worry me. Maybe people will be more rational with their gun purchases so gun prices can fall back down.
Don't know where to put this and I don't feel like going to the WR right now but this is a pretty good vid.
Lol. Good luck with that. Here, round shortages had started even before all the gun control talk when Obama got re elected. I can't imagine what is being said at gun stores around the country now. Probably the same gun shop tards that are making it impossible for me to go to the range.
Ahh yes, the same gun shop warriors that are decorated lawyers and scholars and know the ins and outs of the legal system as well as the back of their hand. It's always interesting listening to those conversations just to see how crazy they can get. They're just mentally masturbating an idea they want to happen, but never will. You're right, but it should come down some in the future. At least for the next couple months people will be buying guns, ammo, and accessories at outlandish prices. I've been effectively priced out of the market by the latest scare so any price decrease would be welcomed. I sure would like to know where people get their disposal money to buy $50 pmags and $2k ARs.
