Oleksiy Oliynyk replaces Damian Grabowski against Viktor Pesta in Phoenix
Recently the UFC has brought out that Damian Grabowski no longer planned to fight against Viktor Pesta. The reason is unknown. It is announced that Oleksiy Oliynyk will be his replacement on 15 January 2017 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. The Heavyweight Battle is probably part of the prelims.
Viktor Pesta (10-3 MMA / UFC 1-3) came into the UFC with a 9-0 record in 2014. Since then he has four parties fought for the organization, and only won one. That victory came in early 2015 via Unanimous Decision against Konstantin Erokhin. Pesta lost Ruslan Magomedov (UD), Derrick Lewis (TKO) and Marcin Tybura (KO). For Pesta loss party will therefore probably mean ending exercise in the UFC Heavyweight division.
Oleksiy Oliynyk (50-10-1 MMA / UFC 2-1-0) is a Ukrainian Russian who entered the UFC in 2014. Oliynyk knew whopping 41 (!!!!) to finish his 50 wins via Submission. Submissions in the UFC not to hardly occur, such as Ezekiel Chokes, Head Scarf Hold Locks & Bulldog Chokes. In such Scarf Hold Headlock came in 2013 MMA legend Mirko stuck crocop. Oliynyk so then signed with the UFC. During his debut Oliynyk fought against Anthony Hamilton. Oliynyk finished the American early in the first round via a Scarf- Hold Headlock Submission. In the same year Oliynyk fought the strong wrestler Jared Rosholt. Oliynyk decided the fight early in the first round by a KO punch. This earned him the Performance of the Night bonus. After this it remained partly because of injuries silent and a half years around Oliynyk. Last summer Oliynyk moisture pass again. This time against the Pole Daniel Omielanczuk. Omielanczuk lost both Hamilton and Rosholt, men who were defeated by Oliynyk. But "MMA Math" does not work but appeared again in this fight. Omielanczuk admittedly lost the first round, but in the second and third round the upper hand. Result, won the Pole via Majority Decision and brought Oliynyk to his first UFC defeat.
