I missed the recent PFL card but one of the fights I was looking forward to was Rosta vs Jeffery 2 so just watched it and am pissed, the first round I had Rosta winning but not huge and the second was Jeffery again not a huge round so this fight comes down to the 3rd round this round was unmistakable Jeffery won by moving forward with punches and grinding Rosta against the fence and it was obvious that he had the more stamina and cardio and he was in full control, Rosta gassed and learned absolutely nothing from the first fight yet when the decision is announced he gets the split like I already knew the judges were gonna do this because it's so common with modern mma to award an undeserved decision to someone based on marketability rather than who actually deserved the win really disappointing as always and why I've lost so much interest now, for anyone blaming this on being PFL I see the most of this in UFC more than anywhere these awful decisions to push someone who the company likes it's fukking lame and takes the intrigue out of the sport.

no human in history has been excited for an aaron jeffrey fight dude.
You're missing the entire point do you want a farce of a sport that resembled the Don King era of boxing with screwjobs, I don't I would rather know that what I'm tuning into is real and the whole argument that this guy is boring is lame that's what mma is a mixing of the styles to see which is better not lets just have the more exciting for the fans ineffective fighters win and go to the top, Rosta fukking sucked in this fight and couldn't impose his game that's on him and he doesn't deserve to be rewarded by getting a win bullshit.

Secondly what do you think about Couture? because Randy had many boring fights Belfort 3, Smith, Tito, Sylvia, Vera, Kohsaka, Horn, Yanagasawa and no one complained about him, most of the time it was his opponent that made his fights better like Rizzo in their first fight.

Not ashamed to say that I was also looking forward to it. I've always been partial to the veteran journeyman types taking out prospects. To your point Jeffrey isn't real exciting I get it but it was cool that he won the first one. A boxing example would be a guy like Mauricio Herrera. Not a very exciting style and had no real power but he gave tip guys fits. Widely accepted he was ribbed bt Danny Garcia.

Was a weird event, had questioned the calls on a few of the fights. And every out of left field opinion from John McCarthy was money lmao. He kept making these critiques and those in the PBP were like, "WTF?" and the judges would hand out the wins in accordance with whatever John was telling to audience. Idk if there was some grand scheme, but definitely a few calls on that I might have called differently if I were a judge.

Happens so much on the local scenes as well, ruins careers before they even get a chance. So much politics and favoritism in all avenues of combat sports and martial arts
