“Me and my manager have been in this war with the UFC,” Oliveira told AG Fight (via BloodyElbow). “I really want to go back to 145. I had to move up to 155, but that’s not where I want to be. I won against Will Brooks and then I asked to drop down again. I fought Paul Felder and I ended up losing. His strength was a really big difference. He’s much stronger than me. That’s why I want to move back. That’s where I feel comfortable.”

If he is allowed to return to featherweight, Oliveira promises we’ll see the best version of him yet – perhaps even a version that fights for a UFC title.

“That’s what I tell everyone who trains with me,” he said. “They haven’t seen me at 100% yet. I really want to go back to 145. I’m sure that if I come back, people will be surprised with the new Charles. I’m evolving and growing all the time. In this year of 2018 I may win one, two or three fights and find myself with a title shot.”

Anyone remember the context behind this pic?

This guy is dumb as fuck. Hope the UFC makes him stay at LW forever.

Naw he don’t need that. He needs to be FUCKING better. He was supposed to be what Ortega is now.

Give him Bermudez, Choi, or Yair.

If he stays at 155 give him Diego

I don't understand why he doesn't try to put on muscle mass, he is young enough and untrained enough, weight lifting-wise, to add 10 pounds of lean mass.

I agree with him. His best chances of winning fights are at featherweight. No reason he shouldn't be able to go the the performance institute, get some dietary support, and instill confidence with the UFC brass that he can safely and consistently make the weight.

Maybe because it takes a lot of time and discipline in an area that won't necessarily make you a better fighter.

I saw Du Bronx in person some months ago, he's enormous, certainly not a featherweight, i immediately understood why he missed weight so many times.

Should stay at LW, if he refuses to fight, cut him.

Guys like Du Bronx, Kelvin Gastelum, Hendricks etc deserves no other chances, they already fucked up more than they should have, it's unfair to professional fighters.

I agree, but it seems like he's the Kelvin G of the FW division.

No discipline.

Eating mcdonalds two days before his fight is some stupid ass shit. Posting a photo of it online is even stupider.

Sarcasm, didn't they teach you that in high school?

Yes, but never with that Conor gif.

We save that gif for people we've actually never heard of.

Actually, they don't teach you that in high school. But maybe they did in the special ED school you attended as a kid.

Fuck these stupid nic names these guys give themselves.
Like anyone has ever been asking about Charles and been like "you guys know where Du Bronx is?
So dumb.

Been wanting to see him fight Ryan Hall at 145, but apparently Hall is too big time these days and will only accept a top 15 opponent.

He needs to get his eyes fixed so he can truly see what the problem is
