That shit was interesting - he had a great debut against Brennan Ward. Then decides to fight again in just two weeks and gets violently beaten by Saad Awad - a lightweight. Some people will point at his record, but I expected more from him.

Saw the outcome and it was quick but still haven't seen it.

Gif?

Stupid ass didn't give up on the leglock. Very frustrating to watch.

I didnt saw the fight but read the pbp. Looks like he was on top and then decided to go for a leglock... Its quite rare to see this work on mma...

thought he was Sakuraba. Turns out he can't take a beating and still pull off a leg lock

He is a reckless fighter. They always have checkered records. Sometimes the land the big shot, sometimes they leave themselves too exposed.

Ian Entwhistle in the UFC is even worse.

In 3 UFC fights, IIRC, he's been TKO'd TWICE for refusing to let go of a leglock and getting pounded in the process. Why hasn't someone had a word with him?

I'll always be a fan of Evangelista Cyborg but he displayed poor fight IQ in that bout (as he has done in the past). I think his win over Ward made him a little too confident in his leg locks and he paid the price for it.

Anyways ya'll think the beating he took in this fight was bad check out his fight with Angelo Araujo in the IVC, the guy was motionless then yet was getting elbows drilled into the back of his head.

No one is talking about the reffing? Maybe I was oversensitive watching but I felt it should have been stopped. I guess the ref had a better view than we did on TV but I swear cyborg was out a few times during that beating.

And he whines about his opponents being greased in the middle of fights when they're not.
