Solution is very simple....Open a 145 weight class and while your at it make a 125 weight class...is this really not happening?????

I feel she could have rallied for a 145 weight class...she had the mic...perfect chance

It generally takes 2-3 years for a weight-class to really develop and become marketable, and sometimes it just doesn't work at all.. (flyweight is basically collapsing and a ton of talent was thrown at it)

The fear of 125 is that many women at 135 would drop down, and then no one would fight Ronda (this was before she lost). If Tate hadn't had new boobs and if Holm hadn't beaten Ronda than this statement would still be accurate. Also both women's divisions are still fairly slim in talent and 115 is just getting its legs..

145 could work, but again, the development process is slow, and they would need a solid 10-15 women to start off with, but I could see Cyborg leading that division to some good ppv feedback the same way Ronda carried 135.

she should have begged ufc for a 145 div.

ufc should make one, cybord bring the KOs. Shes the ideal champ.

No.

Name 5 fighters at 145 with a winning record.

And if you make 125 u lose half of 115 and 135 to it and u then get 3 shallow divisions

145 is too thin at the moment.

JoJo's next fight is actually at 125 but that might just be a one-off.

I think eventually a 125 div would make sense though.

The whole women division sucks. I hate when sherdoggers say differently. It is what it is.

Why don't they just make a 140 division and scrap the 135?

Why don't they just go back to the organisations where they came from?

Well the problem is that women's MMA is still entirely undeveloped, minus a handful of outliers. When Holly beat Rousy, her rank was terribly low. There is no depth. The more classes you make, the more you saturate an undeveloped area of MMA.

It is what it is until the ranks fill up.
