We want Hatten versus Mayweather 2 in Manchester right ? Not this Italian Malig something or other.

PBF dominated and outclassed Hatton, so I don't get why people want to see a rematch. The only thing Hatton did, was trying to wrestle with PBF and spoil the fight for the viewers around the world.
 
Some of us want you to spell Ricky's last name correctly.

And most of us don't need to see Ricky get his ass kicked again.
 
The only reason anybody would want to see this fight again is if they want to see Hatton with his knees wobbling and his body hitting the canvas from a viscious jumping left hook again. Are you really craziness enough to think Hatton can take the rematch.

Well he has a chance yeah. As for craziness well thanks for not saying stupid instead lol

Post was meant in good humour. Yeah we British boxing fans are known for undying loyalty and belief. Stupid ? Lol Probably but hell who cares "there's only one Ricky Hatton" (spelt right this time).

Bring it on, and one thing none of you can take away from Hatten is that he is a crowd pleaser, VERY GAME, and has a WICKED BODY PUNCH!

Yeah I like the hitman I just don't see any chance in hell in him to pull out a win. I mean Paulie Mali-wanna-be-a-gotti is going to give him problems but I really want Hatton to beat that cocky fucker up. I love Hatton's no bullshit pound you out style. It's just that Floyd is just on a different plane really the only guy who gave Floyd a super big problem was Castillo.

Would I like to see it? Probably, yeah.

But would anyone really expect Hatton to win?

In the buildup a lot would be made of the reffing and I wouldn't disagree. Cortez far from covered himself with glory and I have no doubts it influenced sections of the fight. Once the point deduction was given Hatton lost what little stratergy he had and began swinging for the fences which has never been his style and is an invertation to get battered against a fighter like Mayweather.

But Cortez didn't cost Hatton the bout.

Mayweather cost Hatton the bout.

Even with a liberal ref, even with 70,000+ fans cheering for him, Hatton is unlikely to ever beat Mayweather. People have also argued that it wasn't the best Hatton and that on the opportunities he had to get inside he smothered his own work. Yes he did, but Mayweather made him do it.

In short Mayweather is too big, too strong, too fast, too slick and too accurate for Hatton to really be able to do anything. Add in that Mayweather is a traditionally slow starter and far better at rematches and I see Mayweather bouncing combos off his face for 5 rounds.

Which I'm not sure I want to see.

Hatton shouldn't fight above 140lbs. His style relies far too much on his strength and power, which is neutralised at higher weights.

And if Mayweather does come back I'd far prefer a Sugar, Cotto or Marg fight. I wouldn't want to see his comeback wasted on Hatton.

I think this fights actually in the pipelines.

Depending on what happens between Oscar/Pacman and if Hatton get's past Paulie there's a pretty good chance he gets either Oscar or Pac. I can see the Pac fight happening regardless of if Pac wins or loses (especially if we can take Freddie's comments about Pac being done with 135lbs at face value) and if Oscar wins and decides to box on Hatton is a definate mega-event... perhaps more so than for any fighter other than Mayweather.
