Curtis Blaydes TKO Junior Dos Santos GIFS

At one point in time, jds talked about boxing the klitchko brothers.

@KazDibiase GOAT gif poster.

Awful performance by JDS.
Just fucking bad.
Horrible.
Shit.
Ugh.

looks like the same punch that Chuck threw at Rampage with similar results.

What’s with the telegraphed uppercuts from JDs?

Someone made a thread the other day specifically pointing out that JDS's signature strikes have always been poor form, technically, but that he pulled them off when he was in his prime because he was viciously fast. In typical sherdog fashion, the mass of dunces immediately leapt in to troll and mock him, but he was absolutely correct. That fastball overhand right and the lead uppercut fail him now because he doesnt set them up and can't connect them.

Disappointing striking from Junior. Two fights in a row Junior throws a lead punch out of range and balance and gets caught.

It's especially sad when you consider it's the same rear uppercut he used to KO Werdum and begin his ascent to the HW title an eternity ago. Now his range and speed and timing are all messed up and he just wings it out there like he's down on the scorecards in an EA Fight Night game...

While I agree this has some merits I don't think the old JDS would've tried to throw such a shot from that position with his opponent closing in. His lost speed is definitely a big part of his downfall, but he's lost vision as well.

Hes been done for years, literally running on fumes since the 3rd Cain fight.

The fact that he's beaten so many top HW's since then would make that statement seem false... until you look at the state of the HW division for the past 6 years or so and realize that there might be something to your theory.

I think not setting them up is the biggest problem. Where were the body punches?

Remember when JDS ate punches for 5 rounds like a zombie? Now he crumbles and gives up the moment he starts taking damage. Done...

He never set them up back when he was finishing people. He was simply abnormally explosive and powerful. Now he's over the hill and pulling the same tactics. His resilience and tenacity are keeping him in the game.

You just said the opposite in your last post.
