Curtis Blaydes beats Ngannou in a rematch

Blaydes showed he has a great chin and is able to still make smart decisions and stay composed when put in a bad situation. His take-downs while not super technical where quick and effective.

Ngannou going to have major issues against anyone who has half decent wrestling and can survive the first round.

Clearly Ngannou throws bombs, but I have to admit, I was surprised at how slow and telegraphed they were, even before he gassed. Stipe had no issues dodging them, and hes not the quickest HW.

Not condoning wrestlef@cking at all, but Blaydes has the wrestling pedigree to GSP anyone at HW.

Dont make the mistake of underrating Stipes defensive boxing. It was on point in this fight and very impressive despite the lunging punch attacks. Cant think of any other hw at the moment being that slick.

Would definitely be a compelling rematch, I just think that his approach vs hunt would not be nearly as effective vs ngannou due to the size discrepancy; the big height advantage blaydes had over hunt allowed him to use a great deal of leverage which simply would not exist against francis.

Agreed. Any decent heavyweight wrestler can beat Ngannou if they can get past the first couple minutes. Ngannou kind of reminds me of a HW Phil Baroni.

Ngannou fought differently against Blaydes, against Stipe he just went in there and started winging punches. He fought more patiently against Blaydes the first time, he was slowing down and getting tired but he still could of comfortably fought another round.

Do you guys remember when Ngannou was an unbeatable force sending by God and Stipe was a walking dead even months before their fight?
