Did you see Daron Cruickshank fight in Rizin? He was allowed to use the head kicks and stomps and it was like he was a whole new fighter. His game and aggressiveness expanded incredibly. You forget in the UFC you're literally seeing half of a fight skill set. His fight in particular was incredibly interesting to watch.

Same way when you watch Shogun, a lot of us forget they took away half his skill set due to the rules.

Wrestlers did OK in pride too. Also, fighters on the bottom wouldn't be able to wall walk to get back up.

Also, wrestlers that do get the TD, could also use knees on the ground when in crucifix or side control.

I do agree that it might stop the sloppy way out shots and wrestlers hanging on to a single.

Oh yeah there was lay and pray in Pride and stinkers usually involving random New Japan wrestlers or someone from Khazakstan or something lol. But they judged the fights differently too. plus the kicks and knees made the fight more fair for strikers and ground fighters where now it just favors the wrestler
, i think it made it even keel and didn't just favor the wrestler.
