I am beginning weightlifting for the first time on a regular basis. After reading these forums, it was easy to decide on using Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength. Here's to not being weak. Go Euts!

    Squats
    4 Warm up sets
1 x 5 x 155 (It was too much weight, I really strained my back getting the last 2 up)
    2 x 5 x 135

    Bench
    3 Warm up sets
    3 x 5 x 105

    Deadlift
    2 Warm up sets
    1 x 5 x 135

I stretched afterwords and my legs feel good. I've had problems in the past with really sore legs for 3-5 days after squatting.

I busted in the gym today with my cutoff shirt like Bro Namath and headed straight for the dumbbells. I did some serious reps on the bench, then i curled while teaching the sluts next to me how to curl. I checked my biceps out the entire time and got in the way of some guy doing power cleans. I left and decided to just leave all my shit laying around, o no wait, that was the guy next to me. I did

    Squats
    4 Warm up Sets
    3 x 5 x 145

    OHP
    3 Warm up Sets
    3 x 5 x 75

    Power Clean
    2 Warm up Sets
    3 x 3 x 75

I'm like 160 now at the end of summer, but the school cafeteria will fix that.

Thanks everyone. Yeah my form is one thing I'm afraid isn't very good. I'm reading some of the form threads and keeping the weights light on things like power cleans to try and figure it out.

Do you have the Starting Strength Videos with Rippetoe? They are great if you do. If not you should be able to track them down.

Also post some form checks here. Thee guys are real knowledgeable and informative.

Well, I've had some serious gains since my last time posting. I haven't increased any of my lifts, but my weight is up to 185 lbs. Maybe I should really start lifting again, tomorrow. I'll keep the log updated.
