Curious Case of Chris Weidman

he's not washed up by any means.
I agree.
He fought 3 of the best and won the first rounds every time.
Sure, he ended up losing - but it was mostly because of some dumb mistake or getting overwhelmed by an explosive attack.

He wasn't dominated for the entire fights.

He will probably be on a "win some, lose some" status from now on. But there's nothing weird about that, everyone else is doing the same.

People are just freaking out when someone loses 3 in a row.
If he would've spread out those 3 losses over a longer part of his career no one would bat an eye.

And he was a stud. I don't know about now, but the Chris that fought against Anderson and Machida, and earlier, was actually really good. The way he cut off the cage and got his takedowns from a traditional wrestling stance, by entering with backhand straights and hooks, was P4P level at the time.

To be honest, That is exactly was it defines him... He was just good at that time but never was great like people thought he would be.

Weidman relentlessly taunted and ridiculed Vitor for his PED use, rife hypocrisy if he used all along himself.

Pretty sure he's said he wants a title eliminator next. Which considering he's a former champ with several defences and is coming off a win over a top10 opponent isn't that out of the question.

In fact I'd say most fans ideal number 1 contender fight is Jacare vs Weidman since Yoel is already in line for a rematch with Whittaker.

Longo is the one feeding chris this horseshit, he sadly believes it

In that case he needs to explain the changes in his appearance and performance.
He has explained his change in appearance. He changed his diet, he went from trying to be huge and cutting tons of weight, gave up drinking and partying. He's getting older and cutting to 185 is getting harder and harder, walking around with extra weight, and attempting to cut more that extra weight is counter productive.

His change in performance? He beat a old Anderson who took clowning a little too far, he beat a old vitor, he looked great against Machida but we've seen him fall off too. Luke, Yoel, and Gegard are 3 of the top 5 MW's in the world. He was competitive in all of those fights.

Hope this helps.

Calling it horse shit is a bit extreme. At most he is 1 fight from a title shot, love it or hate it - that's the truth.
ill agree with that , longo can get a bit excitable at times ill say that
