Do any of you all have a recommendation for a good type of cup to use while sparring? I was rolling with a guy that thought it was Sakaraba and tried some sort of awful leaping guard pass and crashed down to crush my Walmart cup... I remember reading somewhere that metal thai cups could withstand much more punishment but wanted to see if anyone has some advice.

    Thanks in advance.

Combat Sports has those Shock Doctor groin protectors. There's one model that's basically spandex shorts with a cup built in.

I'd recommend getting a metal thai cup and a Century brand jock/cup supporter. This is what I use and it works out GREAT! Very comfortable and very protective, even against flying Sakaraba guard passers :)
