Weird fight. I would have liked to see Cub get Pettis for his 145 debut. I'll take Cub by decision. Kawajiri is durable. Who wins?

Prime Crusher crushes Cub but hes been such a shell of himself the past couple years.

He might be able to keep Cub on his back for a while but Cub is one of the best in the division getting back to his feet. Cub by TKO.

Kawa is gonna lay and pray. Horrible fight for Swanson.

Weird fight, doesn't make much sense to me. I'm still waiting to see if Yair vs. Caceres is actually going to be the main event.

This is a bizarre matchup. I'm not a big fan. I hope Cub stifles the Crusher's wrestling and keeps it standing, but I'm not sure he will be able to for three rounds.

what a strange fight, at least Cub will get a little streak with win/ still hope to see Swanson vs DHC

Swanson should be able to crush the Cuddler.

Cub/Pettis would have been fun, but I like this, big fan of both guys.

Strange match up.

I got Cub via punishing the TD attempts and teeing off on Crusher whenever there's space.

Odd matchup. Typical UFC 2016. Does nothing for Cub if he wins. I was hoping they would match him up with Bermudez.

Cub.

Granted, he lost 2 in a row recently, which is why I think they're making this match, but it was to the top 1, 2 or 3 contenders.

Cub is still top 5 while Kawajiri just lost to Bermudez.

Hope Tatsuya wins, though.

Weird. These prospect matchup main events may be seen more frequently. Almeida/Garbrandt was a puzzling main event to most at first as Cody wasn't even ranked. I could get used to it though. It shines a light on some of the lesser known up and comers that deserve the attention.
Thing is, if a rising star Jon Jones coming off a KOTN performance over Vera won't sell tickets, you can be sure that a fringe top 15 rising prospect vs a wild fighter with wilder hair won't sell either. I get prospect cards, but don't you have to put your best foot forward when you debut somewhere? For instance, the recent UFC debut in Maine was headlined by Bader vs OSP, which was two lower top ten/fifteen guys, and that did not do well either. This is even worse, as fightmatrix has it as the 35th best FW vs the 78th best FW.
