Thats fair. And I'm guilty of that as well, I'm sorry to sayUnderappreciated by the fans as well. He's always been a just bleed fighter and doesnt get nearly enough love for that.

Cub is a great ambassador for the sport. Very well-spoken, mild-mannered. Doesn't need a gimmick. A consummate professional.
Having said that, he probably gets subbed.
UFC should do him right and give him a broadcasting gig after he's done fightingHave you ever watched him on the UFC Now show? He's really good and adds some great insights, always unbiased and just great really.
He'd be a great analyst or on one of the panels at the events after his Octagon career is done

Jesus with those dipshit Grandpa glasses
what does top dude mean? like he gives not takes?Cub Swanson, absolute top dude. Wish him the best.
A really great interview with Cub from earlier leading up to his fight with Kron Gracie.
I'll do the cliff notes however this MMA Fighting channel forever have their interviewers really quiet so it's really hard to hear them though I'll try my best for people here.
It's a really good interview is this and he has such a fantastic attitude which I think you'll all appreciate.
1. Did the fight appeal to Cub cause of the Gracie name? - 0:00
2. The specific places where they refused to train Cub cause of the Gracie name - 1:02
3. Grappling preparation for this fight - 2:14
4. When fighting a specialist how to not be so consumed with him trying to get you down - 3:08
5. How does he feel about Kron using Cub to make a name for himself - 3:57

Again, apologies if the questions written aren't exactly as they're asked, 95% of those interviewers you can barely hear give and take one or two though I think I've got the gist of it.
Enjoy

Edit: I've found another which they've uploaded from today just now and is really good also, again the interviewer is quiet but I'll try my best.
It's good how he talks about how a lot of people look up to him and he doesn't want to let them down.

Let me ask you this - Did Cub say " they brought me in to lose to kron ? ".... and if he did , how did it come across ? I know that's a difficult question to answer and theres a reason why I'm asking ( im too lazy to hear this piece unless it's under 7-8 minutes).
Gotcha- thnks for timely replyIt's a bit hard to transcribe it now dude, I'm on my phone but if I can do it later I will
They pretty much asked him the question and he said no he's fine with it, if you're not in the title picture then that's where we are kinda thing, something along those lines

Seemed like he was always underappreciated and undervalued by the UFC
I dont really agree with that. However, I definitely think he has been underappreciated by fans (gauging by the idiotic, dismissive criticism of the guy I've read here over the years). In real life, however, everyone I know who loves MMA acknowledges Cub as a very well rounded competitor and a true fighter.
Liked Cub ever since his early days in wec. He's a very athletic fighter. He moves well in the cage and can cover distance quickly. That will be key in this fight. The hype is real with Kron's bjj. Give him the opportunity to climb on Cubs back and the fights over.
Lately Cub seems like he is being overly polite though. His mannerisms are off. And those stupid looking glasses man. He better get his shit together before the fight.
