Cruz is a god awful striker whose "neo footwork" is easily exploitable by anyone with Day 1 boxing fundamentals

Plus he can't check lowkicks to save his life

No... Cruz was the greatest FW during his prime. The guy was so fast and dynamic prior to the injuries. He finished every combo with savage kicks and had some of the best takedown entries in MMA.

The guy has had multiple career altering injuries. He came off 1 fight in 4 years with a 2 year layoff to out point a roided up prime TJ. He didn't even look nearly as good as he use to in his WEC and early UFC days and still tooled the champ over 5 rounds.

Uninjured Cruz is one of the biggest what ifs in MMA.
