Cruz can beat McGregor but not Aldo

Style wise Cruz matches up much better with pure bangers like Conor, he would most likely be able to score TDs as well and avoid big shots and out cardio some one like Conor.

Aldo on the other hands is all wrong for Cruz, Aldo is faster, more powerful, brutal kicks, and is just as skilled defensively when he wanst to and would never be taken down by Cruz.

I think Cruz can beat Conor but should stay away from Aldo.
 
I think Cruz should stay at 135 and quit pretending he wasn't out for 3 years with injuries. He talks like he's been defending that belt this whole time and not like a guy that went splits with the number 1 contender. I do think he's smart for trying to talk his way into these money fights though. Can't blame him for that.
 
He can beat them both but Aldo is definitely the trickier match up. Gawwwd that's such a great match up...

Yes its a helluva match those 3 fights are all super fights imo just feel Cruz wouldn't be able to do much with Aldo.

I think he's just trying to make the most of each fight. Can't say I blame him. Who wouldn't want that paycheck versus a rematch with Dilla on a Fox card?
 
I think he can beat Conor, and frustrate him.

Aldo is a tough match up because of his brutal kicks.

Both are tough fights for Cruz honestly.

Such a dumb thing to say, assuming you referred to Aldo's movement against Edgar as running. Edgar was pressing him, its either brawl or be smart and circle which is what Aldo did. Go see what happened to McDonald last night when he didn't circle against an aggressor.

People are still continually underestimating the greatness of Cruz. What he's overcome is truly miraculous. It would be a total chess match & full display of MMA skills between the two. Really hope it happens at some point.

Agreed. He knows he's the GOAT of his division & has accomplished a lot. & now that he's healthy he can take this opportunity to get some big fights that he wasn't exactly able to get before. Though, the second Faber fight was pretty big but it's different.
 
Why people keep bringing up aldo's kicks? Guy threw like a handful against edgar because frankie wasn't stationary. You think cruz who moves better and is physically bigger than frankie would be at such a disadvantage. I think it'd be a great fight.

Thaaaank yoooou. Also, Dom's timing is absolutely perfect, he could catch them for td's. Aldo only threw like three total vs Frankie.
 
Big Cruz fan but he losses to both by KO, he won't be able to evade and go for takedowns like he does so routinely in his division. Eventually he'll eat a big shot and not recover quick enough. His quickness and footwork won't mean much if he is being stalked by either of those two.

It will mean the most. He fights lighter so he will be quicker & more elusive. His style was created to fight bigger guys.
 
I actually think Cruz would have a shot if he lands his TDs on MacGreg

Aldo's too much of a Magic 8 ball to predict his fights
 
He loses to both, but I do agree Aldo is a way harder match up for Cruz.
