*Edit: just watched the interview, he was talking about usada, not UFC. He mentioned UFC was fair to him and terminated his contract so he can fight in Japan. Is there a way to edit thread title?

A short translated write-up of a Croatian interview. Can't help but agree with him. He went through all the proper channels with complete transparency, even passed usadas tests, yet now his legacy will somewhat be tainted.

Of course there's going to be some uneducated zuffa zombies (we can't use that term anymore can we?) that are going to point out the so called "self incriminating" statement he made, but when one actually contextualizes the situation it's obvious Filipovic was in the right.

A Sherdogger say Crocop got to fight in Rizin because he threatened to kick Dana if he didn't release him

I always thought the ufc treated Crocop really well despite their reputation but then again it's been a while since the Crocop usada incident for me

Why even make a thread if in the beginning you're trying to discourage discussion of the topic you're introducing?

Prime Crocop was such a beast. It's too bad that he failed to evolve, but that's true of many guys who had early success in MMA.

To think we came this close to getting Cro-Cop v Wanderlei III... and even Cro-Cop v Carwin.

Still, Cro-Cop v King Mo will be fun. Sucks this Rizin tourney wasn't even on anybody's radar in the Heavies and now there's not much reason it should be.

Zuffa was run by a bunch of hogs but it's unclear whether any of that drama was the UFC's doing. And, disclosure doesn't obviate accountability...

It's kinda cool seeing him use more grappling in his last few fights. I think it shows that he did evolve with time, just that he got too old/injured. Too bad we never got to see a version of him with this level of grappling in his prime.

is he back to crying and complaining already?

this dude tried to retire gloriously due to 'injuries' after pulling out of a card, when in reality he was suspended due to a potential doping violation

    lol

back to being salty and angry.

meh. can't believe I was a huge fan of this dude back in Pride days, and actually felt gutted when Gonzaga dropped him.

I'm more shocked that Cro Cop avenged that loss. Dude has worked hard over the years and evolved. Long past his physical prime, but still. It's been a long road for Cro-Cop fans. If he knocks out King Mo it'll be epic.

Shrug. Assuming the shoulder excuse was bunk, Cro-Cop was so incredibly past it that HGH would've barely evened the playing field. It's so much less damning when an old athlete dopes than a young one. And since the number of clean MMA fighters could probably fit on the head of a pin (with room to spare)... steroid-free is a losing standard for fandom, lol.

It was one question a reporter asked in a twenty minute interview where he was promoting his upcoming fight. Only UFC relevant question was that one. Would hardly call it "crying" about it
