USADA is attempting to punish fighters for competing doped instead of PREVENTING them from fighting doped. These delayed findings don't mean shit to their opponents that just got smashed by a roider. Maybe she has a valid medical excuse so I'll hold off on getting rustled but I think I'm with the majority on this one when I say she's probably fucked.

The fact she did not disclose this makes a valid medical excuse hard to swallow, but I am open to the possibility. It would just require overwhelming evidence.

So I just listened to this. All of the possible side effects from the powerful birth control pills she was prescribed to help with weight cutting seem to be the same side effects Cyborg is suffering from aside from a heart attack and stroke. It can cause severe elevated potassium levels, kidney and heart damage, increased blood pressure and hypertension, etc.. That is without going through a massive weight cut. I could be wrong, but it's starting to look like either something fishy is going on, or her nutritionist is a complete dipshit.

Why is it that the fighters taking banned substances to recover from injuries and, er, weight cuts never disclose the information until after they're flagged for doping violations?

I have wondered the same thing.

I used to think it was because they were just being naive but now I think it's because the disclosure process is also not entirely fair.

After seeing Lyoto get a lengthy suspension for disclosure I can understand why the fighters choose to be secretive.

In fairness I don't know all of the details with Machida's violation, but if being upfront gets you a longer suspension than the guys that are digging up stories about dick pills, something is broken with the whole process.
