Cris Cyborg and Cecilia Braekhus verbally agree to fight

Both agree to fight in 2017.., Braekhus suggests two fights, one in Europe and one in the States. As a fan of combat sports, I would like to see this fight. Pure boxing skill goes to Cecilia, but Cyborg has good hands and power.

Just about every women currently fighting in the UFC 135lb division has fought in the 145lb division during there fight career. So whats the big deal of fighting at a catchweight? They clearly fear the Cyborg beat down why else would they run down to a division they know she can't possibly make.

Cyborg has said no to anymore 140lbs fights.

135lbs is a division with fights, a belt and exposure. 145 is complicated.

They might feel like they're giving up too much size by competing against Cyborg. Maybe they want to chase the title. Maybe the money isn't right. I don't know, I'm not a fighter.

Either way a fighter calling out fighters the weight class below and calling them scared, when that same fighter has both had trouble making 145 and been popped for PEDs, isn't a good look.
