A friend of mine recently hurt his arm bad in an MMA event. He is going on 41 years of age and I was told that creatine would help with his recovery. Is this true.

Yeah, well, considering how much info you gave us, hardly a count against the forum, genius.

Who told him this? A doctor? Trust a doctor.

Sounds to me like they're trying to fill up his joint with fluid to lubricate and pad it. It can't hurt, and creatine's cheap as hell, so why not help your friend open up a whole new chapter in his life?

"Hurt his arm" what does that mean? Elbow? Shoulder? torn muscle? broken bone? You need to be more specific.

Either way I don't see how creatine would help. He should talk to a doctor, and rehab the right way.
