International Crazy-world accelerating: Mexican troops disarmed American soldiers on US soil

Caught or killed? most of them.

Most of the violence in Mexico stems from the fact that there arent many big capos anymore, Chapo was the last of his kind.

Only 2 major "old school" ones prevail, "Mayo" Zambada and Caro Quintero and if they remain at large is because they rarely leave the mountainside and delegate a lot of responsibility.

The era of Mexican druglords is basically over, its a free for all nowadays.
Whatever happened did not help America or Mexico.

War on drugs is a failure? Yeah, no shit sherlock.

How is the war on drugs going in America BTW, you guys have like 6 times the resources per capita and your people are less desperate economically.

Have you actually "won" the war on drugs?

If you guys stopped demanding drugs from Mexico, maybe we would be able to do something, because so far, we pay our law enforcement in pesos while drug dealers pay in dollars.

And no one sees a problem with armed foreign troops on American soil?

If the troops disarmed were not indigenous people they are foreigners.

Totally agree. We should stop the war on drugs. We should make what Americans want here legally. No reason to give Mexico any money.

Also should put a wall on the border. And I’d also do as trump wants but more. Just declare nafta dead, protect American jobs. Send back the illegals.

Then that shitstain failed state can figure its shit out. Or it can sit there and marinate in it’s ignorance.

Maybe the citizens of Mexico can focus on the important issues. Like trying to overthrow the government of Venezuela

And that's why our troops can't descalate situations like this. Because then you get guys saying shit like this.

Would you have rather the US soldiers blew the Mexicans away?

That would probably be a better outcome than own military surrending on your own soil.

Admittedly I don't know all of the details of the situation. But all I see everyday are headlines about chaos at border, catch and release still happening, no wall, no new legislation, borders still open. I believe I even seen Trump threatening to flood American cities with illegals for some reason.

I was just under the impression Trump and republicans were going to actually address the problem. But it seems they just wanted my vote.

If we made you President on this issue you would say the same thing Trump did on healthcare. "Wow, this issue is really complicated, who knew?"

Are these details going to explain how Trump and the Republicans are indeed securing the border while at the same time prosecuting militias and having our own military surrending on our own soil?

A militia isn't a government entity with the right to secure our borders. The case I read about recently, if that's what you're referring to, was a militia leader arrested for being a convicted felon possessing firearms unlawfully.

I actually read this as CNN making a mountain out of a mole hill and trying to humiliate the US servicemen for getting disarmed and not going all John Wick on the mexicans.

You read into a lot of things. I actually read it as the US troops showing composure during a tense and stressful situation.

Now let’s imagine the 5 Mexican soldiers were confronted by the militia men at the border. I wonder if that would had gone down as peacefully?

Most likely the milita men would had tucked tail and ran.

So you hate a democracy like Mexico and one of the top American trade partners but support the dystopian authoritarian socialist government of Venezuela?

You are an special something.

EDIT

There was actually a fence there, thats why the Mexican soldiers got confused they saw an unmarked car south of the US border fence and thought it was on the Mexican side.

Sorry but if you are on a 2 v 5 situation with sidearms against fully equipped soldiers with assault rifles you dont have much options otherwise.

The Mexicans acknowledged they fucked up, in a place where the only landmark is the US border fence and the incident happened south of the fence.

Maybe the Mexican troops were patrolling the border and the un marked car alarmed them.
I mean what do our border people do to people near the border in unmarked cars?

They can patrol the Mexican side. Our guys were on our soil, and those Mexican bastards were violating our laws.

This wouldn't happen with a wall.
