I mentioned in another thread about a coworker who hates me for no apparent reason and engaged in extremely unprofessional behavior (talked shit about me to the students, who are like 9 years old). I was worried that this chick was going to potentially sabotage me somehow. I hate playing politics but I had to make the first move and tell the boss about her behavior as insurance.
Well it turns out this dumbass wasn't conniving at all because she's too stupid to do so. One of our coworkers is leaving soon and as a farewell gift, she wanted to get him either alcohol or weed so they can partake together. At work. Around children. And she said all of this in a group chat with a dozen other coworkers including myself. The guy said it was okay but she interpreted that as, "yes I want weed." Eventually got a weed brownie from a dealer, took a picture of it at work, and posted a picture of it in the group chat.
I didn't go to work today but presumably she's getting high and/or drunk while at work. And she gave me evidence. This isn't just unprofessional but I think it borders on unethical since we're dealing with children. Not to mention this isn't a country with laid back drug laws. Weed is a pretty serious offense here. I'm a bit worried I might get implicated too if this gets out. Luckily I barely ever talk in that group chat and I wasn't at work today.
I'm using this as further "insurance" in case she ever tries to fuck me over which at this point I don't think is going to happen. I'm also a tad bothered on an ethical level. I have nothing against weed or alcohol but doing it at work, and especially around kids, is another issue. Not to mention the illegality of it. Would you alert the authorities and your employer about this?
Cliffs:
1. Coworker hates me for no reason
2. She's also an idiot
3. Seriously talked about drinking/getting high at work in a group chat
4. Went ahead and got some weed to indulge in at work
