Cerrone is so unpredictable. He could smash almost anyone in LW division and also lose to all of them as well. Just depends which Cerrone wakes up that day.
I think his problem has always been mental, he’s his own worst enemy. A lot of fighters and athletes that compete in singles sports are like this. It’s much easier to be confident and not give F when you have an entire team is behind you.
He will always shit in the bed when it comes to big fights, even some where he had a good chance of winning.
Funny thing is that I believe in every single word he said, and that is probably EVERY SINGLE Fighter the same. Only after it starts, you forget about all of the fear and your mind focuses on the opponent in front of you, and the fight takes over. Now people will make some asinine claims about it, but I think the only ones full of shit are the ones who claim they wouldn't (fans) or don't (fighters) feel anything.
UFC just put up an over 2 minute interview with Cowboy where the whole time Cowboy talks about how scared he is, how he pukes before every single fight, how he fakes it to look confident, how he wants to break eye contact with his opponent, and on and on. Many fighters are probably familiar with these feeling and can empathize, but is this really the information to put out right before a big fight? Is it wise to have Cowboy verbally and audibly confess this to himself and to the world before a big fight? I think psychologically, this was very dubious of the UFC... Cowboy talks about puking before every fight at about the 24 second mark of the video.
Nice little video. I’ve always liked cowboy and I like Conor as well but I don’t like this fight for Cowboy

Cowboy is such a fkn bipolar weirdo. I like this Cowboy, but when he mixes it with: ”IDGAF, anywhere, anytime, anyone motherfucker! I dont give a fuck, i’ll Fight anybody! I’m a badass fkn cowboy who doesnt give a shit about anything” it makes him look fake and pathetic.
Jesus as if he were already bad enough to bet on. They're putting Conor in there with a no confidence stiff.
