My apologies for my broken English but I just saw an interview of Kamaru Usman and has a lot of questions. "He says" Neil Magny the only one that agreed to fight him but the UFC gave Magny another opponent. He says that he asked to fight Darren Till and that Dana refused because he had "plans" for Till. He says that he has proposed a fight to Damian Maia, RDA, Mike Perry (before his losing streak), several requests to Colby Covington, they all refused to fight Kamaru. I am very surprised that RDA is ducking a fight against Kamaru, good decision in my mind for Maia/Perry and Colby. He looks sincere but I don't know if he's telling the truth. You all the true UFC specialists what do you think about it? Do you know more ?

i don't really understand why. he's not such a scary match-up. he's tough and a good wrestler, but all those guys have chances to win.

It's the reason you need to be a name. Perfect example. If you're a slightly tough match up and no one really knows who you are, good luck getting a fight in the UFC!

No one cares about Usman, he had to LnP Meek who is barely top 50.

Its ok for the broken english.

It's still better than that foreigner MacKenzie Dern.

Oh wait.

Yup. Hence the trend of playing heel, social media call outs, and any other means of getting recognition.

you gotta fight. that's the name of the game. even conor who's in hiding now took risky fights to prove his merit. these guys trying to cherry pick are only hurting their own psychology.

Who the hell wants to fight a boring ass wrestler that will probably hug them against the cage for 3 rounds while the public is booing?

RDA is not ducking anyone, they probably offered Lawler and Usman, ofc he chose the former champ.

Why RDA would fight a lower ranked opponent when he is close to a title shot? I hate Colby, but this fight dont make sense to him too. Come on men...

Maia is near his retirement after losing to Colby, so it doesnt make sense too. This guy should aim plausible fights.

First time I read your post I was like " Hum, he is trolling me right ? " but it makes sense if what you wanna say that he chose Lawler because it would be the opponent that will wrestle the least with him, so he chose Lawler ?

Thanks. He should pursue a fight against Masvidal or Lawler. Both come from losses and would not refuse

After seeing him against Meek I really don't care about seeing him fight anymore. The last we need is another Woodley with no punching power. Meek is slightly above average on his feet and showed to have Usmans number standing up. If he were to fight Maia it would be another Woodley fight except you won't really expect a KO to ever happen. Giving him Mike Perry would be another takedown clinic, Colby could be interesting at least and RDA could be a good fight but makes no sense for RDA to take that and step back against a fighter like him. Usman doesn't come off as genuine really IMO. He was trying hard to not fight Meek even though Meek couldn't fight out of no fault to his own.

Lol he chose Lawler because

1) It's a former champion
2) Lawler is better ranked than Usman and has a bigger name
3) Lawler is a much more exciting fighter

Don't be stupid. No one would've fought Usman instead.

I wouldn’t say that those lot are necessarily ‘ducking’ usman. Other than perry they are all ranked above him and would stand to gain very little from the match up.

Didn't ever think of that fight but Masvidal vs Usman would be dope ! I would be hype for real if UFC make this happen.

Winning or losing a decision where Usman tries to hump your leg does nothing for you when you can fight more notable and exciting fighters. I would love to see Usman get ko'd

Usman is very unlikable

WW is a mess right now. We need a title fight to be made badly so the division can move on. Usman should be fighting Colby, that's obvious and hopefully the UFC makes it

That's because that dork is a PROBLEM, even at 30%
