What are the full time mma bettor doing right now?

Myself, I empty most of my accounts, some cash out take a long time, even 5dimes take like a week and I have not heard from Sportsbook regarding my cash out. There is some news that 1/3 of covid-19 carrier don't get sick, so they will keep this pandemic going for a long time. Only way to end this soon is go 'wuhan' on every city and I don't see that happening. I put all my available fund into Binance and try trading full time again for the second time. Not going to wait for this to pan over, can not rely on something that is out of your control.

I've lost more money in the stock market this year than I've won in my life gambling in MMA :(

internet is lacky, double post!!

Ouch! that suck. Can you ride it out?

Try crypto trading, second attempt. I will use half of my mma bankroll this time. Lost 18g ish first attempt.

Betting on CS for fun and making 20-50 unit bets. Started with 200 and now at 600.

I have been trading bitcoin since 2009 and looking to end this short when things calm down. People seem to forgot that the halvening happens this may.

I've been investing in solid stocks (Roku, Tesla, Berkshire) and crypto (mainly bitcoin, only invest on a Sunday). It's possible it will go future down but I plan on buying the dip if it does.

Very few people in this world are "full time mma bettors", and this is another reminder of how unstable of a "profession" that is. Even on a betting forum, striving to be a "full time mma bettor" should not be celebrated.

Is it really much more unstable than so many other things? Stock trading, regular jobs, buisness etc? I realize the thing about being banned at certain bookies - and yes fights can go down, but usually for the past years there´s only been more events. The bookies should get better in time and the markets more efficient, in 10-20 years it may be very different. But I think alot of proffessions are unstable, everything is in a state of flux. I think I get your point, but I think a lot of professions probably is pretty unstable are they not?

Of course it is far more unstable than other lines of business. You also have far less security and investment in your future. There are the obvious issues with bookies limiting, cancelled fights after research has been done, bad reffing, bad judging, etc. But it goes way beyond that. Staying successful long term can be difficult, especially in a sport that changes constantly. Unless you are in an area that somehow looks favorably on gamblers, your missed work experience is probably going to cost you quite a bit long term. Furthermore, the other things in life such as getting a mortgage, risk associated with taxes, lack of benefits provided by an employer, etc. become an issue. I could go on and on. There is a reason most turn tout as well. They need the income.

Good points. Thank you so much for sharing it. One thing I also heard was bank do not want to lend you money if they see alot of expense statements like bet365, 5dimes, unibet, etc. They think you´re a losing problem gambler, or so I heard.

I was building a 670g house with 500g down payment. The 6 big banks won't lend me the money. They said I have good credit but no job, my wife have decent salary but no credit. I though I was f*ck since I am taking possession in less than 2 months. Cibc bank said they known someone who could help me, that someone (mortgage specialist) said he can get me the loan for 11.8% ....lol.

But First Calgary kept their promise lend me the loan at 2.39%, I panic over nothing, I though I get a back up bank just in case First Calgary bail out on the loan. If you don't get the loan for the house, you have 2 option. 1st option is forfeit your 60g deposit for the new house or pay 20% of the 170g remaining balance, thank you First Calgary.

what is CS? if you start trading bitcoin since 2009 you should be rich or well off? I start trading at peak when bitcoin reach 20g usd, I though I got a bargain at 17g.

I dont know if you know this but people lie on betting forums even if he would of just invested 100$ in 2009 he would have about 5 million dollars lol

Wow. Really happy it all turned out well for you. Talk about just being judged and 11,8% lol. Its sort of true when they say, give a man a gun and he will rob a bank, but give a man a bank and he will rob the world. Those rates...just crazy.
Really appreciate you sharing your story, thank you. And again, so happy all turned out well in the end for you.

I had made my investments at around the $400 - $420 mark but I'm pretty sure I wrote that when it was still under $430. As I mentioned there is a good chance the whole market crashes even future. I'm tempted to sell and make a quick profit even though I probably won't.

Either way, it definitely wasn't intended as financial advice (I hope no one would be stupid enough to get their stock investing advice from a gambling forum).

it was so hard to move money on 2009 that i was happy to get out after i doubled my money. You had to send money trough westerunion to some russian courrier to get it to liberte reverse so you can send it to mt.gox. I was still just a kid and was happy that i doubled my 400€. It felt so risky that i didint touch it again until 2015 and mt.gox getting hacked and liberte reverse being shut down by the fbi/nsa, i was happy i got out. After missing those few bubbles i was not gonna miss the next one and maybe the biggest reason i got into mma gambling was to get some money fast so i could put it on bitcoin. First bet ever was nate/tate and i put that 5k in bitcoin.

CS is counter strike.

I've been enjoying some real time off. In the past when I'd take time off I'd feel like I'm missing opportunities, but now it just seems like a waste of time to look into any fight. Even if 249 does happen we'll see a ton of changes to the card, and with the majority of gyms closed it's hard to know what version of fighters we'll see.

As a full time bettor the time off isn't a big deal, it's no worse than a losing streak. If you aren't prepared for long stretches of no income you're doing it wrong. I'm just glad I have a job to go back to after this.

I wonder what job is that? do you mean go back to mma betting? You might have unique skill set that you might not realize. I recall during the poker boom, there is this player name loloTRICKEDu on party poker. He crush the nl high stake, base on hand recorded he made over 3 million in 6 months than he just disappear when poker still popular. Everyone in the poker community wonder where this kid go, than someone who claim to known him said he when into trading. It is possible he might make more money in trading than playing poker? I was killing it too in trading at 1 point but only 1½ month window of data until my shit coin lost 90% of it value.
