Just stumbled upon this while looking for defense against southpaws.
What do you guys think of this technique?
And who is Chike?
He’s not using his rear hand. The second part he’s actually talking about his shoulder and feetChike Lindsay was legit enough to go the distance with Yodsanklai. I think he's retired now.
His technique is pretty good - I like that he had two layers of defence, his lead hand, and his rear hand.
Look at where his rear hand is open as he steps back and uses the shoulder, it's there as a just in case, and it will also allow him an easy rear hand counter. He's banking on the half step doing the job, but it it doesn't, they will still likely punch into his handHe’s not using his rear hand.
