Could WME/IMG increase PPV buys by bringing back UFC event titles?

They have had some ridiculous titles in the past such as UFC 13: The Ultimate Force or UFC 27: Ultimate Bad Boys
Then they started to have a few decent ones such as... UFC 44: Undisputed, Stacked, Hostile Territory etc.

Could it potentially grab the attention of more casuals by once again using "catchy" event titles as opposed to just a number?

WME needs to stop fucking around and letting top talent go.

Mousasi
Rory
Horiguchi
Rashid
Larkin

None of those guys should have been able to leave the UFC.

Stop the chronological number system and treat it like a high profile fight.

When you buy a boxing PPV it isnt "Showtime Boxing 25455: McGregor vs Mayweather"

I think they ran out of bro words. Used up all of Saliva's song titles.

Those event titles were for events that were held in a barn in Alabama while all the best fighters in the world were in PRIDE.

UFC 33: Marry Your Cousin, Trigg vs Kimbo.

They could increase buys by cutting the cost of PPVs in half, nobody wants to pay $60 to see a WMMA headlining fight.

I think it's time we realize the UFC had it's attitude era of popularity when DiCaprio would be seen on camera at one of the first Ultimate Fight Nights from the Joint. The UFC had a great run and high popularity from 2005 to 2011/12, and in probably another 5 or so years they will have another popularity resurgence but it's just not going to get anymore popular than this with casuals right now.

The TV deal has kind of messed thing up. They aren't able to stack all the good fights onto 1 PPV a month anymore so instead they toss 1-2 pretty good fights on the top of the Fox/FS1 cards 2-3 times a month to try to carry those.

There has to be a B-League show. Many will say other promotions are the B-League, but lets get real. 4-8 of the fights on some of these non PPV cards aren't that high profile.

Men V Women, Humans V Animals, Robots V Men, Women & Animals

You're talking about corporate ego. Lowering the price would be like admitting to being wrong. Dana, Ari, and all those jokers can't be wrong.

If you ask me, 39.99 is probably the perfect tip of the hill. That will never happen though. Maybe they can spin a deal one day though. 20% off PPV with an active FightPass subscription

They need to fire the goof and send him to boxing.

The only thing that will sell more PPVs is more cross over stars like Conor and Ronda. Fighters with a unique selling proposition.

There is nothing WME can do to make anyone outside of the core MMA fanbase care about the likes of Tony Ferguson or Mighty Mouse.

Would you TS be more inclined to buy a UFC PPV because of a catchy name?

Nope, don't think it matters. The way to get more people paying for PPVs is simple. Better, more exciting cards from top to bottom. Have fewer cards say around 8-10 a year and cut down of the number of total cards per year. Build the brand UFC as the top talent and fighters not doing so well or new unproven fighters put on a new "B League" platform, similar to the old Strikeforce contender series. That would showcase young fighters for hardcore fans while not expecting the same quality as a UFC card.

Finally come up with a true ranking system and have fighters be matched on this ,especially top fifteen ranked working their way to a title shot.make it exciting because of the sport and quality of the cards. People will WANT to see every card as they know it will be good and what to expect with no filler

i like the idea of them doing that again. But just don't call any of them Knockout.
