Could Volk challenge for WW title?

Before you laugh it off think about it for a second, could he possibly beat Leon or Usman? I think he could give both of them fits in the same way he did to Islam, who is around the same size as those two. Leon is a bit more lanky, but in terms of his frame, he’s probably very similar to Max Holloway so tall means nothing to Volk.

If Islam was out striking him I couldn’t imagine the murder Usman and Edwards would commit.
Islam is pretty bare bones as a striker, size was able to play a big role. Volk is clearly great at fighting big guys but I think Islam’s size is his limit.

I think he could make a fight against edwards interesting but not usman.

Not every mixed weight fight has to be for a title. It would be fun seeing those matchups even if it’s a #1 contender against the #2 or #3 contender from another class especially if there’s some bad blood between those guys that needs to be settled!

Did they use top lighter weight fighters for it back in pride days? I know Sakuraba fought men that were much bigger than he was. Him beating Rampage and getting in there with dudes like Cro cop and Wand is straight lunacy
