Heads up this is a good counter versus the unsuspecting guys who shoot a single leg on you.

I watched an average wrestler (in all othe areas) win about 70% of his matches by pin with this move..at regionals he nearly piined the guy who went on to win state..LOL...not to metnion its kinda humiliating..

Aesopian actually it can be hit from several situations..Shooting in on the single is the most common way I have seen but like the video it can be done off the scramble...

Strain on the groin and hips, like a banana split.

damn, he looks like he can kiss his own ass lol..yea looks like an awesome move

Lmao I WANT to try this bad boy!!!

Looks like you could get it from butterfly or being taken down with a single.

Next time I get singled, I am going for the spladle. Man o man does it look humiliating.

On second viewing, it's kind of like a leg crucifix. I would like to try this out.

that kid was pretty damn flexible, i would have tapped in a second.

it actually is a banana split the guy doing it would just need to get on his back completely (which he obviously couldn't do there) and do sort of a bridge with his whole body it basically stretches your groin and is painful as hell

Is there a webpage that shows how to do this (and different setups) with pictures? I couldn't find it on BJJ.org or Lockflow.

All of those Hawk Morgan video moves look painful as shit. Is there any way to give up in wrestling? I know you can't tap out.

Nope...lil story a brother of mine was trying to turn a guy with the half nelson the guy was mad flexible and he couldnt get him to break the 90 degree needed to score back points...so he swithced to a double bar and arm sat out and leaned back the guy was trying to avoid the pin....imagine the guys entire body was elveated pushing down and he was basically on his neck...and he was crying out to the ref....the ref told him, if it hurts, pin yourself...

Also let me TRY to explain the spladle for those of you going to try it....

I am going to explain it from a single leg attack position...

you are standing with the left leg leading and your opponent shoots on the leg and keeps his head to the inside, against your hip abdomen area.....What you need to do is sortof a sag on his head..a mini sprawl i would say without removing your left leg from his grasp..If you can push his head further down with your left hand around your nether regions...lol...groin area and then use both your left and right arms to trap HIS left leg with your arms behind his kness...at this point you sit on your ass while crouching your torso forward kinda trapping his head in your belly/groin area while pulling with your arm to get his left leg close to your body..this should prevent him from popping his head to the outside..because if he does he is in good position to mount you...ok so now you are on your ass...you have his left leg trapped with your arms...his head trapped with your body..you know hunt for his right leg with your left leg..Youa re going to try to get your left leg behind his right knee...if you do that you shoul be able to roll towards his back by leaning back and pulling him over..after that it is up to you to turn it into a sub..its been a while since I did this move and other than the stretch I dont know how I can get the sub...

Important note..it IS important to trap his head with your body..but not TOO far into your body ..In other words using the above example make sure your lat area is more or less on the base of his neck so wehn you roll to your side and pull him over his neck is also cranked somewhat against your body and the mat...

Sorry if I didnt explain it well..

Incidentally my son is staying at my brothers house this weekend...He has a 10x10 mat and wrestled I have a digi camcorder I can try to tape this move step by step...if you guys are interested I an try to get him to demonstrate other wrestling moves...just lemme know what you want to see...Takedowns(which ones...) drill (which one)...

Later!

That is called the banana split or rail splitter. I seen a guy get his groin tore having that done to him. Painful shiit mang.

That is NOT a banana split. The banana split also involves trapping one leg with your legs, the other leg with your arms and stretching the groin. In the banana split however the guys hips are against your torso and his head is facing away. In the spladle, it is reversed, his head/neck are on top of your torso and his hips are facing away. The most comon way of getting into the banana split is from rear mount. You grapevine one leg, lets say you use your left leg to grapevine his left leg. Your body is not paralel to his but at about a 45 degree angle. you reach over his body and with both hands grab inside of his right knee and pull the knee to his chest to get it out of his power position. From here you are going to roll to your back, you can go either way, headfirst, tuck your chin, or just pull on the leg and arch back. As you get to your back, you don't want to be flat on your back but slightly sitting up. you drive the trapped leg in one direction and pull on the leg in the other. I don't know how well this would work as a submission, but you can sometimes get back points in wrestling. Not a very high percentage wrestling move, as most wrestler's know it and will attempt to sit out/reverse as you try to grab the knee. Nobody wants to be humiliated like that.
