I don't know the New Mexico law so could this fight literally be cancelled after Jones got several tickets?

The only concern would be that Jones is on probation. I'm no lawyer hell I don't even live in the states but I doubt this will have any impact on his fight aside from being a pita.

The only thing that will be cancel is JBJ driving licence...

Great answer, I didn't know about that at all. Glad you gave me all that information and it totally got me convinced.

the fact that this thread got sent to the wasteland is another hint

So he can do whatever he wants without any consequences?
My brother has done worse things then Jones when it comes to driving, DUI, followed by driving on suspended license, followed by wreck less driving and leaving the scene of the crime. He has avoided jail time and all of those charges were while on probation except for the DUI, and my brother is no one special nor rich like Jones.

I'm sure there have been other fighters who have received traffic tickets within 30 days of a fight. It just didn't make evening news because they weren't Jon Jones. I really think people are going overboard trying to prove they are really MMA fans. I go a ticket for doing 40 over just the other day. Guess what I was still able to make it to work and keep my job. My wife still loves me too.

So you think getting minor traffic violations, that are highly suspect and the cop or police dept. are most likely targeting jon, he should not be allowed to make a living to support his family? Is that what you're saying?

Hate how the media and some of the fans romanticize the whole "Jon Jones being an awful person outside the cage" thing
He's a regular human being and we all make mistakes
But antagonizing him for a fucking traffic ticket is just not right

On probation and he got stopped last month as well. Like I said, I'm asking as I don't know.

Wasn't a there a condition of Jones' probation that he not get any tickets within 90 days of his last run-in with those horrible, awful cops?

Not sure, but from the sounds of that video and the act that it is now made public, that ticket will be thrown out and if the cop appears in court he will end up getting told off by the judge.

"You and the guy in the Cadillac were drag racing" - I hope for the officer's sake he pulled over the Cadillac as well or that will be a problem for him.
I speak exactly same way to cops if know I'm right and they are wrong. At the end of the day a police officer is nothing more than a job title. They are civilians with jobs, if they lose that job they are civilians again. It's not the same as military where they hold the title years after leaving. Any civilian can have a police officer removed from their post if our complaint is valid enough.

Well, he's in jail so could the UFC cancel the fight?
