China is becoming a huge play for SpaceX and Elon Musk. He proudly promotes the fact that SpaceX is launching satellites for Chinese based companies. Just this morning a Chinese communication satellite was launched at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

Could it be possible that in the future that SpaceX assembles and launches people and satellites for the Chinese in China? The costs of his launches are far below any of the competitors including the Russia's well below the rates they charge. Much like Tesla electric cars Elon has found a way to make space far more affordable.

The issue is that could it be possible that Elon could be considering even greater cooperation with the Chinese? Unlike the Russia's they want nothing to do with SpaceX other then spy on them see the Russian Cargo ship waiting for SpaceX parts to drop. Could we see the Chinese producing and launching their own SpaceX branded rockets into space? Is that even a possibility and would the US allow it or with they allow it knowing that China could get there eventually on their own?

What do Sherdoggers think about the idea that SpaceX starts a rocket business in China and cooperates on greater space ventures?

SpaceX is making their case right now.

All I know is that the NFL season is about to kick off in a big way..

... that being said, hopefully Musk is smart enough to be using this relationship to install tracking software into these satellites... that would be pretty damn awesome

Don't hold your breath I can imagine that the security around these satellites must have been amazing. Chinese launching at the Cape must have been under the tightest security by Chinese officials. I bet insects needed clearance to get into launch prep area! :)
