Not saying he should go there, but do you think he could be champ at 145? I do, I think he stands a decent chance against Straus at the least. Marcin Held was a LW contender and one of their top fighters and he got whooped by 2016 Diego Sanchez, not to mention Will Brooks lost to a middle of the road guy, who came in a weight class above so fair excuse if their ever is one.

Most UFC fighters in the top 10 of their respective divisions could be competitive if not the champ in Bellator..

This is evidenced by Benson Henderson, Rory MacDonald, etc.

I haven't kept up with Bellators 145 division, but I'm sure Renan could be a contender at the least

He is still top 3 BW, he'd smash bellator and could probably win their 45 belt as well.

Honestly...I don't think he's mentally all-in anymore, and would probably look about the same as he did in his last UFC fight.

Straus has much better wrestling than Barao. Straus also has a good enough chin and stand-up to compete with Barao's striking ability. I see a UD for Straus. Barao was never THAT good. Why are you even bringing up Held/Brooks anyway? Ever thought that their fighters weren't made in some Bellator factory? Different divisions, you goof.

Rory hasn't even fought in Bellator yet so that's a moot argument.

    Benson? Well.....

Him vs Straus or Dantas would both be very interesting. Think he'd have better chances vs Straus due to his tdd but I don't know...dude is strong.

Straus would prolly beat him tho Henan still has insane TDD and defensive wrestling

i think Dantas would beat him as well if he went back to 135, Henan was getting boxed up by Gagnon

Patricio could do it but the size advantage would be alot, Weichel and Curran to lesser extents (moreso Pat who just isnt the same guy anymore) tho i wouldnt favor them against Henan

I don't think he can make the cut to 135lbs without the tub KOing him.

At '45 he's got to deal with Strauss and Pitbull - I would be on Curran against him too even though he's looked bad lately.

But also, Eddie became champ. I think UFC tries to make examples out of Bellator guys and throw them to the wolves to try and de-legitimize them. Held is a submission specialist and has 36 fights and never been submitted. If that wasn't a match designed to discredit him, I don't know what is.

We can also point out Bendo, who is 1-2 in Bellator, was a former UFC champ and top fighter and struggled with a B-tor 45'er and his only win came owing to an injury.

The two orgs are alot closer than most people think. They may not have the best fighters in the world but they definitely have a handful that could compete and beat some of UFC's best.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think Chandler gives Mac and anyone in the top 10 a hell of a fight. He looked really good against Benson, just don't put him against Will Brooks.

Maybe who knows. He has not really looked great lately. Don't think he will own Bellator. Only UFC fighter that has done really good is Davis who is top level.
