A lot of casuals will watch it because it's UFC 200 and will be promoted a lot. He'll presumably be doing a lot of promotion for it. If he wins, he's got the comeback story. Could Jon Jones finally break through as a megastar?

This subject will trigger some people you know

He'll more likely end in jail before the event.

No. The fight will likely suck. He needs a dominant finish after the build up or his stardom will remain the same.

No. McGregor and Rousey created their viewers (Conor by talking, Rousey by being unique).

Jones is just the best fighter in the world. People don't watch the best fighter in the world.

Rousey and McGregor were frauds. Their reputation and megastardom was built off of lying. As we see, lying has a habit of getting you a lot of success or money really fast, then completely crashing once reality sets in, and usually f-ing up your whole life as a bonus.

What did Conor lie about?

Wait, don't answer that. I don't want to know what reality you've concocted.

Not if he fights like he did against OSP. But if he puts in a performance, sure.

JJ doesn't have the strength of personality to just draw a massive crowd of followers. But if his slow burn lasts long enough and he just keeps on beating everyone for an extended time, he will surpass them all, because that's what happens when you win.

That's what happened to Floyd. That's what happened to GSP. It even happened to Tom Brady, who is about as unlikeable a character as you're ever likely to come across.

No. He'll still be the guy that moves like a three legged giraffe and can't throw a punch. Oh, and he did a hit and run on a pregnant woman.

He needs to go back to being a killer instead of just winning fights and the fans will come.

He is already a star. but megastar is not for UFC fighters.. thats for script actors like Conor.

No. He is certainly polarizing, but he just isn't that interesting or charismatic.

Some of my friends who didn't know who Jon Jones was last year are familiar with him now so maybe he's on the cusp.
