Could Cowboy Be Bluffing?

Nah he's just not very smart about the business side of things.

He would have a lot more leverage if he beat Conor but we're talking about a guy who celebrates in the octagon after getting beat down and is 3-7 in his last 10.

He's just happy to be a knockout victim of the week if it pays quick and easy cash. Guy is so short sighted he claimed he didn't even have his eye on a title until he fought Ferg even though he's been in the UFC since forever.
Cerrone has never had a 3 and 7 stretch. Closest is 4 and 6 and that was right after a 12 and 1 streak.. so.... yeah... you're retarded.

Usual McGregor hater logic. They try to downplay his opponents and skew the facts to create an illusion that McGregor fights a bum.

Cowboy has been disrespected tremendously in the last few months. Not even a year ago he beat the shit out of Iaquinta whom Khabib won the belt against after a worse performance.

Tony did not stop him also. Another lie. Doctors stopped the fight. Because Tony threw a late punch to his nose and Cowboy admittedly made a mistake and blew his nose.

Also Cowboy will be 180 pounds in there. Conor will be 168. I'm not saying Cowboy is going to win but he has a significant chance.

No he is mentally weak when it comes to these big fights and have probably done extra much crazy shit leading up to the fight hoping to get injured to have an excuse for himself. Kind of like how some fighters party all the way up to the fight, then they always have that excuse for themselves

He seems to not care cause I get the feeling he has no intention of trying to climb the ladder again in the title picture if he wins given his age and like you mentioned recent record. And is likely getting sizable to show wage and bonuses without an actual winners bonus. So winning or losing is not nearly as big a deal to him this time around. He's wanted this fight for a while and seems to just be prioritizing the fun of it over anything. Which is probably smart considering it's likely his last chance at a big main event, and likely isn't challenging for anymore belts. If he's not bluffing and does engage in a shoot out yeah his win % chance likely goes down, but if he wins with that strategy it'll be a much bigger deal. Or like TS mentioned, may be an attempt at a bluff to try and sneak some TD's in where Cowboy has a slick sub game. But likely not the latter, cowboy dosen't strike me as a guy who long term plans like that. But that being said he does take down a LOT of his opponents.

Cerrone says he wants to test Conor’s standup but surely to win this fight he just shoots from the start and tries to submit him?

Since when has Cowboy had great TDs? Conor's not easy to takedown by anyone not named Khabib.

He has to shoot in otherwise Conor defends head kicks well and has that nasty left hand.
