Coronavirus survivors banned from joining the military

Very interesting. So as things stand at this time, if you've had a positive diagnosis of Covid you are permanently disqualified from joining.
...but if you are already in the U.S. military and catch the coronavirus, the military has to treat you before you get released. If you get released. As far as I know it has no impact on your enlistment contract -- you stay in. In the Army, soldiers who had COVID-19 and recovered are not being released.

I can't imagine that this will stick. I'm going to guess it's a temporary measure until COVID-19 is brought under control. If it's permanent then someone is pulling an idiotic stunt.

Step 1: Create virus
Step 2: Let it spread
Step 3: Shut down the country to destroy the economy
Step 4: Cripple the military by not allowing survivors to enlist
Step 5: Allow more Muslims and Mexicans in. Enact Sharia Law.

This is all part of the globalist plan, sheeple! Soros has been hatching this for years!

That's a cool straw man you just made up bruh.

Either they know something about it that the public doesn't, or it's because they don't know enough about it. Either way I'd expect this to be dialed back in time.
There have been reports of people who got over the virus testing positive again, but the accuracy of these reports are called into question. Military likely does not want to take any chances right now, and not until the science is settled on the matter.

Title is misleading.

This was just a draft of a memo that someone reported on.

It is not policy.

Joint Chiefs of Staff commented on it already today to say that the memo doesn't make sense. For instance, what happens to the current enlisted folks that have tested positive for COVID19....can they not reenlist?

He was 6 feet tall and had an athlete’s build. He played football in high school and was active in sports throughout college. He spent one summer as a lifeguard at a local pool.

But after he graduated college in the spring of 1968 and became eligible for the draft and —possibly — combat duty in Vietnam, he received a diagnosis that let him avoid military service.

No, not bone spurs. Asthma.

And his name was Joe Biden.

Sounds like me but all i was stopped from doing is scuba diving.

Correct. But they apparently don't want new recruits that have already had it because they really don't know at this time how it might affect their lung function long term, if they've actually built up anti-bodies that will fight off reinfection, etc. Just not enough known about the long term with the virus so they're apparently saying NO

lol. the military already has some strict requirements to enlist, which basically make over 75% of the military age population ineligible to join. everything from health issues (to include body fat and physical/endurance), intelligence (or lack thereof), drug use, criminal history, and debt to income ratio/credit history are determining factors to join. it's already hard enough to get qualified candidates to join.....if they wanted to make it harder, they could easily increase physical standards or minimum asvab scores.

On another note

How isnt the Polio vaccine
Phone addiction
And porn addiction NOT the mark of the beast?

Who says they're NOT going to implement these things later on?

<seedat>

Globalists aren't dumb. And they'll stop at nothing to destroy the West.

If my research is accurate (always is btw) then this cobravirus can eventually cause scale growth and limb loss, venom glands can form and at that point none of the standard military equipment fits anymore and cost to outfit snake people is pretty high

It's the right call. They can change the policy later. For now, we don't know enough.

Almost all of those are waiverable, or just mean you have to lose some weight. 75% of the population aren't actually ineligible.

this. we don't know the long term ramifications of the disease yet. the last thing the military wants is to let someone in and a pre-existing condition from the virus flares up and hurts/kills someone. some of the conditions might flare up and since it happened while they were in military service, it might be considered as service connected, which means the VA (aka tax payers) will have to take care of it for the rest of the person's life.

Agreed.

I think it’s because the virus is so new and there are so many unknowns, the military is taking a wait and see attitude while taking a cautious stance. There may be long term health effects associated with Corona such as pulmonary disease etc which would disqualify persons from serving.

They don’t want to invest thousands of dollars in training a soldier when she/he may have long term health problems down the road. Or, they don’t want to risk transmission because during training, everyone lives in tight quarters. I mean we shit and shower together. Imagine taking a dump and to the immediate right and left of you, there’s another dude taking a dump with no stall whatsoever dividing you from them.

That's a cool straw man you just made up bruh.
There's a method to the madness with those jumbled satire strawman posts. . . paraphrase a tinfoil version of what you want the other side to believe/claim, throw in random stuff and the kitchen sink, then add something true like "allow more immigrants in", "want open borders" etc. like it's not true. The template posting is so common and obvious. See it elsewhere too, if it was funny it would help at least. <45>

the article link below is a few years old but still applicable.
https://www.businessinsider.com/heres-why-most-americans-cant-join-the-military-2015-9

The U.S. Army’s major enlistment requirements include:

Ages between 17 and 34 years old
Must be U.S. citizen or legal foreign national
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 33 score on Armed Forces Qualification Test
No tattoos on fingers, neck or face
No ear gauges
No ADHD medication win the past 12 months
No felony convictions
No persistent illegal drug use
No insulin-dependent diabetes
Meet height & weight requirements

i've worked with military recruiters and from what they've told me, most people have disqualifying issues. sure, some are waiverable, but most of the waiverable issues were childhood medical issues that have been resolved. about half of the people they've turned down are non-medical related issues and things you cant waiver, ie felony convictions, debt to income problems or credit delinquencies; if you have any of those issues, you are a security risk and cant get a clearance. and as silly as it sounds, people are just too fat and cant lose enough weight to meet military height and weight standards.....even while training for a year under a delayed entry program, they still cant lose weight or do the bare minimum in the PFT. you also can't waiver stupid; it's pretty amazing that kids graduate HS/get a GED but are still too stupid to pass an ASVAB test. as the military becomes more technical, the ASVAB scores for those jobs go up.

bottom line is that its getting harder to join and of those that are eligible, very few are interested.
