The dataset begins the week ending 8 January 2021, at which time 98% of the population was wholly unvaccinated.

By around the end of March 60% of the population was wholly unvaccinated (and therefore 40% had 1 or more shots). During this time between Jan - Mar the age specific rate fell from 3.7 to 1.8, and afterwards it remained essentially static at the low 1's. It's possible that they vaccinated the sick/unhealthy first as the highest priority and, as those people exited the unvaccinated pool, the morbidity of the remaining population dropped as expected with the removal of the unhealthy cohort. It further makes sense that once the unhealthy population has been excluded the numbers don't change a terribly large amount for the remaining 6 months of the dataset.

These comments are for the 10-59 age group.

As far as I know that particular breakdown isn't found in any of the publicly available datasets, hell, we're lucky to get semi-usable vaccinated vs. unvaccinated numbers in most cases. Insurance companies will have all the info available so that you can sort for age, sex, race, pre-existing conditions, and all that other fun stuff (I used to work for a company which worked with insurers), but they sure as hell ain't giving up their data to outsiders.

    This is truly concerning.

US must act ASAP and re-enact the travel ban

Its barely 10 days old LMAO. What are you vaxxers going to do now? Better wait for big daddy pharma tell you you need 10 boosters in 6 months as well as a anal suppository.

If this does outcompete Delta like its doing in SA and does indeed evade vaccines, we will need to modify the mRNA and get a whole new shot, not a booster shot.

This whole thing is a giant mess and it's arguable what someone should do, depending on their situation. Government response is certainly something that can be criticized too, no matter your pov. But this thing has become so polarized all context is lost.

as someone who has 2 vax and will get the booster, i hope people in charge understand this bs with eternally getting new shots won't cut it for too long. there's only so much patience even the people willing to vax have.
feels like this shit is slowly turning into a hustle.

    There is no 'what next'.

This is the future. The new normal. We've been groomed into a perpetual customer base for vaccine companies. There is no appetite whatsoever to return to normal, because that would see fewer and fewer people signing up for boosters every year. The vaccine companies are running the world now, not governments. They need covid to be here forever and not like the flu, it needs to be here in a 'scary' manner so that millions and millions of people keep taking the product. I predicted this new variant at the start of the year - just in time for flu season when they're promoting booster jabs, there will be a new variant that 'terrifies' scientists and means everyone needs to get back in line.

Remember, in Bill Gates' own words, he got into vaccines because it was the new money-maker. He got into vaccines for greed, not philanthropy as the media likes to portray it, and here is his glory moment. It will never, ever, ever end. We'll still be having this conversation in 5 yrs time.

Look at this "new variant". It hasn't killed a single person. Yet, it's being talked about like it's the fucking black plague already.

It has always been a hustle, mate. From day one. I had both jabs, didn't want nor need them but took them for selfish reasons (I wanted an actual fucking life outside of sitting in my fucking flat and working from home, paying my taxes and going to bed). I do not want the booster and will avoid it for as long as possible. After your booster, will be the next booster (around April). Then your next booster (around this time next year), then your next one (April 2023). Every single phase of this journey will be accompanied by a 'new variant', fear porn and threats of lockdown unless you take it.

Actually, both cases are a result of lack of Madd vaccinations

I'll give you time to let that sink in

"Only the fat and the old get Covid and suffer badly, so no need to take the vaccine" the deniers say.

I guess we'll find out, it's already in Israel. We need to get this stuff to the point where it mostly just makes people sick and dont need to go to hospital over it. See what happens with the pills they are developing

We have never gotten flu to the point where people don't go to hospital or die with it?

I dont think we need to live in some nanny state, this all has to end soon, one way or another. But, it needs to get to the point where it wont overwhelm the hospitals. People will get sick, and die. But we need to avoid that compounding effect of deaths due to lack of adequate tteatment due to overwhelmed health care systems

This is true, it is a mess.. on a scale we may have never seen before in history.
At least in a war the causalities are apparent, what we face here is complete uncertainty..

The trust in the medical/pharma field has gone for me, that also boils down to my personal experiences over the last 10 years when dealing with my own frailties and illness, I have seen huge incompetence and lack of communications and structure, something that is evident in every work place I have been in.. cover ups, lack of personal responsibility, poor workmanship, no professionalism, lies, back stabbing, ladder climbing, and genuine poor ability.
Huge variations between so called professionals, contradictions and people that just don't know, flat out no clue as to what there doing.

We must take our own personally responsibility very seriously, this has been a bottom line for me, has this virus been terrible for some people, yes, has it been just a cold for some, yes, should you take away my freedom and my childrens freedom and future freedom NO Call it selfish, yes I agree.. but this is the time to be selfish with your own body and freedom YES.. because if we don't stand for our selfishness now.. you wont get the right to take it back.

That's cool, but I was near hospitalised by covid and I'm 42. It legit had me worried, I've never been as sick before.

I was double vaxed, if I hadn't my kids might have had a good chance of being without a father. I certainly don't feel stupid for getting the vaccine.

I know, I know, all conjecture but just sayin how I feel having gone through it.
