Victorian health authorities have declared they will not report a key Covid detail, which NSW has released every day for months.

The Victorian health department has refused to release the vaccination status on the 25 coronavirus fatalities.

The spike in new deaths were reported on Thursday, which was the highest number of daily fatalities of the state’s current Delta outbreak.

When asked whether they were vaccinated, deputy chief health officer Ben Cowie said the data was available but “we’re not going to be reporting on that”.

Oh Boy .. lol..

Wow, this is big - the fact that they're actually reporting this on the news, matter of factly. Wow.
Taiwan’s has had 16,343 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the country as of October 19. Confirmed deaths stood at 846 or 5.17652817720125% which is actually a higher mortality rate than many countries.
15.4 million of Taiwan’s 23.6 million citizens have received one vaccine dose, and nearly 6 million people have received both doses with 865 deaths or 0.0005616883% much lower than 1%
also
“The reported events occur after vaccination, but that does not indicate that they are caused by vaccination. … The number of adverse event notifications alone cannot explain or be used to draw conclusions on the existence, severity, frequency or incidence rate of vaccine-related problems, and they should be explained in the context of other scientific information.”

say whatever you want about the source dig deeper into the numbers.

Read a little further into it as this has already been posted... it's deaths after vaccination. It is the same as calling someone who has had covid previously and then dies a covid related death. The vaccination didn't kill them, it was other illnesses. I amsure some had adverse reactions but if we are going to call out covid related motorbike accidents or 13 year olds dying with covid related brain cancer, we need to be consistent and call this out as crap.

Very bad news.

UK study finds vaccinated people easily transmit Delta variant in households

"By carrying out repeated and frequent sampling from contacts of COVID-19 cases, we found that vaccinated people can contract and pass on infection within households, including to vaccinated household members," Dr Anika Singanayagam, co-lead author of the study, said.

this is why everyone must be vaccinated to be protected, regardless of spread.

EIther that or everyone wears masks, regardless of vaccination

My choice is the former

There’s a lot of people who can’t be vaccinated, asymptotic spread from vaccinated can kill them.

The study, which enrolled 621 participants, found that of 205 household contacts of people with Delta COVID-19 infection, 38% of household contacts who were unvaccinated went on to test positive, compared to 25% of vaccinated contacts.

Vaccinated contacts who tested positive for COVID-19 on average had received their shots longer ago than those who tested negative, which the authors said was evidence of waning immunity and supported the need for booster shots.

So it still decreases transmission? It just isn’t perfect as we already know. The article makes the case for boosters…
