Nah, numbers will explode over here.

The lockdown caused all the businesses to shut down in Bangkok. Most workers are not from Bangkok, nor do they have money to live out a lockdown here, so they all migrated back to their home towns and villages overnight. A few days later the PM shut down interprovince travel with state of emergency starting in 1 hour, but its already too late as everyone has already fled Bangkok.

The virus will be all over Thailand now. This is a photo of them all at the bus station leaving.

Damn that's unfortunate. I just walked by a large group of landscapers blowing coronavirus everywhere so we're definitely not taking it seriously over here. I guess at this point I'm just hoping Italy/Spain are outliers and it doesn't get that bad over here, but preparation usually wins over hope so we'll see.

US is about to be really bad in the next few weeks. Almost 400 dead today and it hasn't really even started yet.

The paper said a local lawmaker said it would be hard for us here because it's in our culture to kiss/hug greet whatevers. If you can't fucking realize you need to quit doing shit that increases the chances of getting infected or dying or spreading shit, you're just too dumb.

Yeah, it'll spike with increased testing, but Cuomo had some good news

"We're seeing a significant increase in deaths because the length of time people are on the ventilator is increasing, and the more it increases, the higher the level of deaths will increase," Cuomo said. "...It's bad news, it's tragic news, it's the worst news, but it is not unexpected news, either."

Cuomo did, however, offer some good news, saying that COVID-19 hospitalizations were previously doubling every two-and-a-half days in the state, but now, the number is doubling roughly every four days.

"It's still doubling, and that's still bad news," Cuomo said. "...But there is good news in that the rate of the increase is slowing."

I saw the news had this little girl scout sewing fabric masks to donate to hospitals and I read some won't accept them or will only give them to nonessential workers or patients who freak out about not having one. I would have thought docs and nurses would make their own protective gear instead of getting infected and dying.
