Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones may have their differences, but Cormier respects Jones talent in the Octagon, and he believes that Jones should be recognized for those talents.

"[Jon Jones] should be a star amongst stars," said Cormier in a recent interview. "He should go to places like the [ESPN] ESPY awards and be as recognized as some of the greatest [athletes] in the world, but because of the things he does outside of the Octagon, it holds him back."

    Your thoughts?

It's true. If he had the personality and composure of GSP, the guy would be the first MMA fighter to really truly break through the mainstream.

Only guys who are completely comfortable with their sexuality can not have a problem with that kind of touching. It's like in 22 Jump Street with Jenko and Zook. I thought for sure they were going to kiss and make out, but that's just how bros are. Real touchy feely with no worry about being gay or confused.

It's a backhanded compliment. DC makes himself look good by appearing as though he's taking the higher road while simultaneously trashing Jones' behaviour and kicking him when he's down.

this was my thought exactly. I hope DC gets back and trains hard and wins a few fights to get another shot. But I'm afraid this fight was like the climax of his career

After what I saw on Saturday, I don't think it's a long shot to say that a prime 28-29 year old DC could beat Jon Jones. At this point in his life, however, things will only go downhill. He can only get worse.

DC is looking out for Jon Jones as a human being. Respect to DC for not kicking him while he's down.

I think he gave all he had, but he should have just started swinging for the fences in round 5 instead of going for that moral victory takedown. That was seriously like some scene from an inspirational movie when he lifted Jones up for like 3 seconds lol.

Daniel Cormier's TE ratio on his two tests that have come back were 0.40 and 0.48

He better watch what he has to say about Jones because he's looking pretty suspect as well at this point.

There aren't rumors that DC hid from a test. Also, after 30 years old your TE levels drop dramatically. Google it. lol

Prime 28-29 year old DC is a different guy though. You take off years of wrestling experience When he was 28, DC would have just been at the beginning of his MMA career [first pro fight Sept 2009], so assuming a 28 year old has the same level of MMA experience, he loses his post collegiate wrestling experience which is what made him such a monster.

DC is great because of his experience, not because he's a natural talent.
