Like many of you, I just rewatched Cormier vs. Jones and I also took a fresh look at Cormier vs. Gus.

I have to say that I found a new level of respect for him just based on his guts and tenacity alone.

Think about this: Jones has an 84.5 reach, Gus has a 79 inch reach.

CORMIER HAS A 72 INCHE REACH!!! Just to land shots on these guys, he's literally leaping in and out like little Mac...

The dude's reach is like a LW's. And he held his own on his feet with both Bones and Gus--even got the better of Gus at range sometimes. Gus was literally running to get away from him.

He's not gonna beat Jones, but I'm sure he's gonna put up a hell of a fight.

I'm very happy for him that at least he taste UFC gold and defend it, he could probably have been the best MMA fighter without hold a UFC belt (behind Fedor obviously) and I actually put him above other current champs in the P4P list (IMO)

I also remember disliking the dude a lot, but I was butthurt because he beat Barnett in the finals of the Strikeforce HW GP but after his most recent performances I can't help but respect the shit of this dude. War DC!

Rumble was pretty close to sealing the deal on the 1st round, i see him getting the best from DC a few of times out 10.

Jones his reach is a BIG part of his game, he is a great fighter, but for me he isnt the best because of his fysical advantage over most, like Schilt in K1.
